Curiosity
If you are reading the MMM before 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, you still have
time to watch the Mars Curiosity Rover complete its 350 million mile
journey to the Red Planet. To watch the landing, go to
abcnews.com or
http://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/msl/participate/
Movie Night
Saturday Night Movies at the Ramada continue to be a popular way to
spend a warm summer evening. Information about the weekly movie will be
posted at the Ramada. The featured film will start at 7:30. A
donation ($2.00 suggested) to the EE Arts Club would be appreciated.
SAV (Sheriff's Auxiliary Volunteers) Is
Recruiting
SAV will hold an open house on Saturday, August 25 from 9:00-12:00 at
SAV headquarters (next to Joyner library) for anyone considering
becoming a volunteer. This is a chance to take a guided tour of the
facility and speak with SAV volunteers about what they do. If you plan
to attend the open house, SAV would appreciate it if you would RSVP by
calling 351-6744 by August 24th.
Common Areas Update
Dean Hess, head of our common areas maintenance committee, has divided
our subdivision into 4 zones for maintenance purposes. Hot Desert, our
landscaping contractors, will generally work in one zone per week on a
rotating basis. To learn which zone your home is in, go to the EE
website and look at the map included under
HOA Documents on the
Menu. (Zone 1 will be serviced this week.)
We're Good to Go!
The county has completed its final inspection of the new restrooms and
we have received all necessary approvals. Supplies are in and the locks
operate. Your pool key should work on the restroom locks. Thanks again
to all who made this project a reality.
