Esperanza Estates

Green Valley, AZ

September 26

Good Morning:

Welcome to autumn, which officially began last Friday at 2:05 a.m.

The HOA and Enhancement Team are looking for a garage, or even half of a garage, in EE to store things. If you have an empty, or partially empty, one that you would be willing to allow the use of, or rental of, please call Tom at 399-0455. This would help us out a lot, and assist the Enhancement Team, which does all the good things for us, to continue to do so.

The September Periodico came out last Thursday, and is available on your email, or our website  www.esperanzaestates.net  If you don't have computer access, you can pick up a copy at the Ramada--but be sure and get one. The publication has an entirely new format, with features making it much easier to read. It has more color, more photos, more features, more news, more announcements, and more interesting articles than ever. Our sincerest thanks to our editor, our publisher, our reporters, our distribution staff, and all who have contributed to making this publication the pride of our community. The talent we have in our neighborhood is astonishing, and it is delightful they are willing to share it with us.

The first of the popular Hamburger Nites will be held Tuesday, October 11 at the Ramada, followed by Free Coffee and Donuts at the Ramada Wednesday of the following week. See the Periodico for all the details of these and other up and coming social events. Reminders will appear from time to time in the Memo. Please remember as well that we have a continuing program of trying to help our local Food Bank, and will have a bin for donations at our Ramada events. The need for nutritional assistance in our community is great, and our help is needed.

Many thanks to EE Board member Sam Barnard and a couple of his buddies from the Madera Post of the American Legion, for removal of the wind damaged flag pole at EE Park on Holgado. At the Board meeting held September 19, the Board voted not to replace a flag pole at this location, but instead to study the issue of whether the HOA should be maintaining a flag pole at all, and if so, where the best location for it would be. The costs and labor involved in the frequently required replacement of flags, and taking care of the pole are substantial. Stay tuned.

73 EE residents have ordered name tags now, and you ought to as well! Call Melodye at (520) 399-0455, or melodye1@cox.net  Pay when you get here--your credit is fine. The plan is to create a place at the Ramada where the tags will be stored, and will always be there for our events. You won't have to remember where you put it at home, or remember to bring it along. These are nice tags with your name and the name of your street, and feature a magnetic catch so they are easy to attach. Order yours today!  Be among those walking on the shoulders of giants! Get a name tag!

One of our residents who is active with SAV warns that the Pima County Sheriff's Office is engaged in an emphasis on enforcement of the traffic laws, and is writing citations in substantial numbers.

This message received from Charles and Eileen Wright:

We've just returned from a 10-day trip to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Having cancelled newspaper delivery, we were surprised to discover that some thoughtful neighbor had stashed the papers-delivered anyway-inside our gate. So much for "the best laid plans..."  Is there a way you can thank the Good Samaritan who passes 1172 Circulo del Norte daily, and does this good deed?

If you are the "Good Samaritan", consider yourself thanked.

EE resident Richard Carver has two tickets to Broadway in Tucson's presentation of Shrek the Musical which he is unable to use and wishes to sell. The tickets are $60 each, and include a parking token allowing free parking at the Hotel Arizona parking lot. The date of the performance is Thursday, October 20, 2011. The seats are Orchestra, in an excellent location in the theater. To contact Richard, call 1-360-482-4424, cell 1-360-470-8100, or email bdonthego@yahoo.com

http://www.agualindafarm.net/ is a link to the website of the Agua Linda Farm, just a bit south of Green  Valley. If you are looking for something fun to do in October, check out their website for information on their Fall Festival.

 Have a good week.
