Board Meeting Today
Reminder that the HOA Board of Directors will hold a regular meeting
today at the Ramada at 1:00. A copy of the meeting agenda
is included at the end of this MMM.
Pool Closure
The pool and spa will be closed from 4 p.m. Monday (September 16) until
Friday morning at 7a.m. for necessary maintenance. No one will be
allowed in the pool enclosure during this time. Thank you for your
cooperation.
HazMat Collection Needs More Volunteers
Pat Sharpe reports that four more EE residents volunteered last week for
the Household Hazardous Waste Drive on October 19th. The total
volunteers community-wide is now at 32 and GVC is looking for 50 more.
They could use some men for the task of unloading! You may have seen in
Sunday's GV News that the shredding company is requesting a food
bank donation, so we need to keep that in mind too. Thanks to everyone
who has responded to our request! If you wish to volunteer, please call
Joe McCalpin at 867-8067 or Pat Sharpe at 625-7716.
Court Schedule
The following is the court schedule from Courtmaster Kevin Welsh:
Thursday 7:30 Pickleball
Friday 8:00 Tennis
Saturday 7:30 Pickleball
Pickleball nets will stay up from Saturday to Thursday for play at any
time.
Scam Avoided
An EE resident with a car for sale on cars.com avoided a scam last week.
An "interested party" contacted the seller using text messages. Payment
to be made through Paypal seemed a secure option until the return "$400
for shipping via Western Union" appeared. Not sure if fake Paypal
messages would have been involved. Luckily we'll never know.
Interested in keeping up with the latest scams? Mark your calendar now
for 1-3 pm on October 15. Representative Andrea
Dalessandro's office will host a Senior Scam Prevention Seminar at the
Desert Hills Social Center. RSVP at 648-2092.
Got Rental?
Knew that little colloquialism would capture the attention of EE
grammarians. Now that we have your attention...If you have an EE
property you'd like to rent or are searching for a rental for friends
for family try the Ramada bulletin board. Current Monday Morning
Memos, the Ramada activities calendar and information on emergency
lock boxes are just a few of the on-going postings you'll find there.
Residents of EE are invited to use the index cards stacked inside the
case to post notices of property for rent, searches for EE rental units,
items for sale, lost and found items and other EE information. Please
date your postings so that periodic clearing can be done. As posted, the
board is not intended for commercial businesses.
