Esperanza Estates

Green Valley, Az.

September 14

Good Morning:

Very quiet week in Esperanza Estates. Nothing much going on; no rain, and the only thing on the immediate horizon is the September Board meeting a week away. We have not yet heard the Hospitality Committee’s fall plans for events, but suspect that things will likely begin next month sometime. Watch this space for details.

The following address is for Marge Crawford, who passed away last week, in case you wish to send a card to the family: Marge Black Crawford10537 W. Silver City Ct. Boise ID 83704.

We were saddened to learn of the July passing of Celeste Foster. Condolences go out to the family.

TENNIS ANYONE?

Just about everybody in Esperanza Estates knows about our swimming pool and Ramada, with its many activities. But there seem to be a lot of people who are not aware of our good tennis court and when and with whom they could play.

For starters, go to the small shack by the court and check the loose leaf binder there for the times people have signed up for. You could perhaps join a group. And, per below, note the beautiful, new benches on the for side of the court.

A very active, social group plays every Wednesday and Friday mornings beginning at 7:00 am in the summer to about October, with progressively later starts in fall and winter. All skill levels are present, and the play is strictly for fun. After Friday's efforts, a revolving group of hosts serve Mimosa cocktails (champagne and orange juice) and then the group goes to different places for breakfast. For this reason many ex-players (worn out joints, back problems) show up on Fridays anyway to participate in the after game activities. This group recently lost a few regulars and is actively seeking new members, whether they like Mimosas or not.

Repeat, any skill level is okay, unless you're training for pro status, and the play is for fun.

A group of Marines had a good time at Sunset Ramada last Saturday.

Welcome back, Max and Lisa!

Have a good week.
