Good Morning:

For anyone who might want to write to 'KC' (Conzada) Thompson to express your condolences for the recent loss of her husband KD, her Washington address is: 3312 NE 254th St, Ridgefield, WA 98642.
(An on-line guest book for KD is here; you may view it & sign it.)

About 60 EE residents turned out for the Labor Day potluck at the Ramada last Monday. Temperatures were moderate, with a bit of humidity due to several short rain storms over the day. The collations were savory, and this first fall Hospitality Committee event was a hit. Many thanks to the Committee, and to all the people who brought and shared their dishes.  It was a fun evening, as are all Committee events.

Many more Hospitality Committee events are in the planning stages, so watch for announcements.

So far, a total of 55 people have ordered our EE name tags, and the first batch were distributed and worn during the Labor Day event. They are quite nice in appearance, giving your name and the street you live on, and feature a magnetic catch which is easy to use and secure. If you would like to order one of these tags, contact Melodye Cooke at 399-0455, or email her at melodye1@cox.net. The cost is a break-even $6. The plan is to create a space at the Ramada where these tags will be kept, in order that they will always be nearby for use at our social events--and you wont have to worry about keeping track of it at home.

The first fall EE Board meeting will be held next Monday, September 19 at the Ramada beginning at 1:00 pm. A meeting agenda will accompany the next edition of the Memo. All residents are invited to attend.

Our landscapers spent an extra day in EE last week, working to try and get the weeds under control.

A storm last Friday evening produced about an inch and a half of rainfall over a period of a couple hours--the most of any storm this entire monsoon.

Have a good week.
