Last Call for Summer Reading Compilated List
EE residents are avid readers--many titles have been submitted for our first ever Summer Reading List!
If you have a book title from your summer reading which you'd like to share in the September Periodico, please email it to krantzcindys@yahoo.com by September 15, for inclusion in our list. All contributions will remain anonymous!

Book Discussion Group Begins in October
EE's Book Discussion Group will begin the 2015-2016 season with The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. If you have not yet read this best-seller, you have time to read it and join the group for a lively discussion at 11:00 a.m. at the Ramada on October 6.  Future titles will be compiled at this gathering.
If you plan to join this group but will not have returned by the October meeting, you can submit suggestions to krantzcindys@yahoo.com by October 6. A list will be compiled and emailed to all participants for a vote and will be published in the MMM, so all who wish to join the discussion will have ample time to read the book!
Hope to see you join us!

Kaboom!
Monsoon season has another month to go, and a lightning strike at your home is always a possibility.  It has happened to one EE resident already this season.  Consider protecting your sensitive electronics (TVs, Internet modem/router, cordless phones, etc.) using a surge protected outlet ($15-$25) that plugs into an AC outlet, a UPS ('battery back-up' unit), or a 'whole house' surge protector ($$$) that must be installed by an electrician.

Landscape Damage?
Monsoon season also has taken a toll on a tree or two in EE. If you spot a damaged tree or cactus in EE's common areas, give Dean Hess a call at 780-8995.  He'll schedule clean-up or removal as needed to keep our HOA looking great.

Recyle Relay
Still hunting for your recycle bin?  Dean and Mary Hess found an extra one in front of their house last week.  Just drop by 779 Napa and pick it up off the porch if you think it's yours. Perhaps a neighborhood get-acquainted activity is in the works.  Wait until the truck goes by, grab a few extra bins and encourage your neighbors to hunt for them.  Soon you'll know everyone on the block!
