Sign of the Times
In response to recurring complaints, a new sign has been
obtained to be placed on the EE walking trail. It reads as
follows: Welcome to the EE trail. Enjoy our variety of
ground art displays as you follow the path. Your leashed
dog is welcome too! Remember to collect its waste and take
it with you when you leave. We endorse both the Pima County
leash law and owner's duty to pick up their pet's waste, so
we report any violations to Animal Control. (EE Board of
Directors.)

Media Mavens
Improvements to the Esperanza Boulevard median are being
maintained by the careful work of a team of toilers who
periodically weed and re-shape water collection circles on
the median. Our thanks to Barbara
McCalpin, Pat Sharpe, Kathleen Normand and Lynn Gillespie for
their early morning efforts.

Don't Go Kissing This Frog
Several Colorado River Toads have been spotted in EE, and
they aren't Prince Charming in disguise. While we're sure
none of our female residents will be deceived, your curious
dog may not be as clever. River frogs come out of the ground
during monsoons. They are slimy and toxic, and may be lethal
to dogs. If you suspect your dog mouthed, licked or
ingested a toad, rinse out your dog's mouth immediately and
call your veterinarian for immediate life-saving advice.
