All's Quiet
Not much going on in the neighborhood this week. For excitement,
residents are going to the redesigned Safeways to see the new layout. As
a vertically challenged individual, I'm happy to hear some of the
shelves are now easier to reach.

In Memoriam
We are saddened to learn that Earl Whigham, the developer of
Esperanza Estates, passed away in Tucson on August 14. He was 90 years
old. Mr. Whigham designed over 2000 homes in Tucson and Green Valley,
but EE was the only one of his subdivisions in which he lived.
Former, long-time EE resident Joanne McGill passed away last
week. Our condolences to her family and friends. Her daughter is Kathy
Patience, 1924 Ridgeway Drive, Iowa City, IA 52245, if anyone would like
to send a card.
You Know It's Summer in Green
Valley...
when laundry languishes in the hamper as you delay using the dryer until
overnight lows return to the 70's.
