Monsoon Margaritas
The Cookes and the Millers (who generously sponsor our monthly coffee and donuts) invite you to a complimentary margarita party at the Ramada, at 4:00 on Wednesday, July 15.  No meeting, no agenda, no axe to grind, no charge, just some social time with friends and neighbors. Even if it is raining, the festivities will go on, and you will only get wet on the inside. If you want to bring a snack to share, it would be appreciated, but come anyway, and enjoy this half-way point in our summer with a traditional southwestern delicious drink--or two.

Summertime Reading
Summer is the traditional time to sit back, relax and read a good book.  In the September issue of the Periodico, our book reviewer, Cindy Krantz, will present the EE Summer Reading List, comprised of books recommended by EE readers. Who Was That?
New to the neighborhood?  EE's magnet-backed name tags are a great way to get acquainted.  Worn at Ramada events and stored there to eliminate the "Now where did I put that darn tag?" syndrome, these permanent introductions are available for only $6. Melodye Cooke is getting ready to place another order this week.  If you'd like your new tag included, PRINT your name and address carefully on a piece of paper, put it in an envelope with $6, and deliver it to her at 840 Circulo Napa.

Spa Sparkles Again
Frequent hot tub users have no doubt noticed the newly-glistening tiles at the top edge of the spa. Thanks to board member and recreation director Tom Cooke the accumulation of hard water mineral residue was removed this week. Our thanks to Tom for keeping EE looking great.

Potty Patrol
Did you ever wonder how the restrooms at the courts stay clean and well stocked with the essentials? It's thanks to the volunteer efforts of Tom Cooke and Kevin Welsh who periodically check the restrooms and give them a good cleaning when needed.  This is not a glamour job, so we really appreciate what they do.

Enjoy a Night Under the Stars
The Historic Canoa Ranch will be open on Friday, July 17 during the evening.  You can take a self-guided tour of the ranch headquarters from 7:00 - 8:00 and then star gaze from 8:00 - 10:00. Volunteers from the Sonora Astronomical Society will set up telescopes for celestial viewing and provide an introduction to the night sky. If you go, bring a flashlight and lawn chair.

We are sad to report that Susan Shafer (Placita Nueva) passed away on June 17, 2015. Our condolences to her family and friends.
