Ramada Roof Repair

Ben Sheffield has been spotted on the roof of the Ramada lately.  No, he's not working on an all-over tan.  He's been blowing out the water from our pool's solar heating system to ready it for moving.  Painting and repairs to the roof are scheduled for this week. Might be smart to park your car on the north side of Ensalmo while the roof painting is taking place.

Pool Party Repeat

Eighteen EEers enjoyed hot dogs, chips, and cookies--courtesy of the EE Arts Club last Wednesday.  Beach Blanket Bingo brought back a few memories as viewers beat the heat by watching the "classic" from the cool of the pool.

If you missed the party, you've got another chance this week.  Kevin and Linda Welsh will be firing up the grill this Wednesday evening at 6 pm for a 7 pm showing of Rebel Without a Cause. Watch the movie from a lounge chair or floatie. Your donations of $$$$$ are appreciated.

Pool and Spa Closing Friday
Palms in the pool area will be trimmed this Friday--starting early in the AM.  Sorry, AM aquatics aficianados, you'll have to splash alone in the tub on Friday.  If you're an early morning walker, you might want to alter your route to avoid the fallout.

Last EE Board Meeting of the Summer

Monday, June 16, is your last chance to see the EE HOA Board in action.  Join them at 1 pm in the Ramada.  No meetings are scheduled July nor August.  (OK English Majors--should there be a neither in there somewhere?)

Margaritaville
Jimmy Buffett won't be appearing, but we hope you will be.  Free margaritas at the Ramada on Wednesday June 18, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please bring munchies to share. Thanks to the Liljegrens and the Sielkens for generously hosting this event. There will be another in July, courtesy of the Cookes and the Millers.

Got Fronds?

If you've got a palm tree in your yard, there are only 3 weeks left to have it trimmed on your own. The winds and lightning of July and August can turn that beauty into a torch.  So climb up there with your machete or call a tree service before June 30 as required by the EE HOA.

Daytime Dive Bombers

If you've been dive-bombed while in the EE pool lately, it's likely you've had a close encounter with a Northern Rough-Winged Swallow.  A common summer resident of Green Valley, these daring divers are skimming insects from just above the surface of the water.  Definitely a welcome sight, we'll hope they stick around to keep the bug population under control this summer.

Summer Aquatics

The ideal fitness program for Green Valley summers is available 5 days a week at the EE pool.  Drop in at 8 am on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday  (Well, not this Friday due to palm trimming.) Not an early riser?  Give the 3 pm class a try on Tuesday or Thursday.  No reservations necessary.  Equipment is available when needed.  The small class sizes of summer make it easy to learn routines and adapt the workout for your personal physical needs.  Try it.  You'll be glad you did.
