Monday Morning Memo

June 29, 2015        Esperanza Estates        Green Valley, AZ

EE's Four Dollar Fourth of July Celebration
Don your red-white-and blue apparel and declare your independence from kitchen duty this Saturday.  Join the crowd at the Ramada at 4:30 pm for sloppy joes, cole slaw, chips and drinks. $4 per person. Bring a dessert if you're in the mood. Volunteers will be reading the Declaration of Independence.  If you would like to be one of the readers, contact Linda Sielken at lsielken@gmail.com.

Palm Tree Deadline Looms
Reminder that the HOA absolutely requires that tall palms on your property be trimmed as a safety issue. The deadline is June 30.

Keep Those Photos Coming
The Periodico has already received a few photos of travels and other activities EE residents are enjoying this summer, and we're looking for more to share in September.  It doesn't have to be a major event. Even if you're just sitting in a hammock by the lake enjoying the view.  Send your photos to droessle@mac.com.  We can't wait to see what everyone's up to.

Moooooo!
It isn't only walkers who enjoy Mesquite Park off Camino Holgado.  Early Sunday morning, a cow found the park a quite enjoyable spot to graze on mesquite pods.  Thanks to Dave Sielken for reporting the visitor.  Is it a coincidence that beef is on the menu for the 4th of July celebration headed by Linda Sielken?

Titan to Take Trash
Titan will again be stopping weekly to check for trash and recyclables at the Ramada. Please, leave all bins in the place provided at the southeast corner; they should not be moved to the curb. Thanks for your cooperation.

A Reminder about Lampposts
Take a look around tonight to see if your lamppost bulb, or a neighbor's, is burned out.  If so, just call Tom Cooke at 399-0455 to report it.  A volunteer will stop by to install an energy-efficient, 13 Watt, 'soft-white' CFL bulb at no cost.
(Also worth noting: the EE CC&Rs require lampposts to be lit year-round from dusk til dawn, regardless of whether a house is occupied or not, so the electric service to all houses in EE must remain turned on at all times.)

July 6 Monday Morning Memo
Next week's memo should arrive in your email at it's usual time.  But for those of you who prefer to read it on the EE website instead, please note it may not be up until later on Monday, July 6, or even Tuesday. Our webmaster will be traveling and can't post from the road.
