June 21, 2010 Reminiscing just a bit, it was 5 years ago this month that the weekly MMM came into being. We don't have a Periodico or Board Meetings in July and August, so the memo is handy for disseminating information. Make sure you watch for it. You will find it in your email box either late Sunday night or very early Monday morning every week. Speaking of the Periodico, the June issue will be Producer/Editor Arleen Boyul's last issue. She is handing off the duties to Denise Roessle. We can't thank Arleen enough for all of her past efforts and we welcome Denise as she puts out her first Periodico with the Sept. issue. I want to take this opportunity to congratulate our Neighborhood Watch Chairman Mary Beth Wallace who was elected President of the local Lions Club. The event was held at our Ramada on June 17th. I am told the facility was decorated with flowers and looked really nice. It's good to continue to see our Ramada used for functions like this. July 4th is right around the corner, so don't forget the Independence Day Party at the Ramada. Menu: Italian Sausage w/onions and peppers, potato salad, baked beans, watermelon and a beverage. Cost $6.00. Come at 5:00 p.m. The regular June meeting of the Board of Directors of Esperanza Estates will be held today at the Ramada, beginning at 1:00 pm. All residents are invited to attend, and a meeting agenda follows this edition of the Memo. That's it for today. Have a good week. Your regular editor Tom Cooke will be back next week.
