Ice Out The ice broke on the Santa Cruz River on Saturday
according to the official EE thermometer. For you newcomers,
that's local lingo for the first day of the year when
temperatures hit 100. In case you were wondering, the river
looks the same as it did on Friday.
Rooting for "Kay M" The Green Valley News lists a mysterious "Kay M" of
Calle Del Regalo as a finalist in their contest to win a golf
cart. I'm sure a neighbor would volunteer to give her a ride to
the Farmers' Market at the Green Valley Mall on Wednesday
morning. That way she can drive her new cart home.

interesting activity? Or maybe you're just tending your garden,
having a birthday party or going fishing. Share your summer with
your friends and neighbors here in EE by sending a photo to the
Periodico at cjsurprise@verizon.net.
For Those Who Are Away Wondering what's been happening while you've
been away? The county has striped our section of Esperanza
Boulevard and there now appear to be some parking spaces marked.
That should be a real help to the MedianGreen watering
volunteers.
