Good Morning:

Be sure to plan on attending the annual Cinco de Mayo fiesta at the Ramada on (of course!) May 5--that is this coming Wednesday. Cocktails will begin at 4:30 and dinner around 5:30. This is a pot luck, so please prepare and bring your favorite Mexican dish. The Hospitality Committee will provide (gratis) margueritas, cerveza (beer, for you Gringos), hielo (ice) soft drinks, and water. There will be Mexican music, and a good time for all so put it on your calendar for sure.

Later this month our Hospitality Committee is planning a Memorial Day party, so watch for details.

We have received another appeal from the GV Food Bank, and a bin will be available at the Cinco de Mayo fiesta to make a donation. Please review the following list and try to meet one of the stated needs if possible. If not, please bring any non-perishable food item.

If you will be leaving EE for the summer and wish to receive the Periodico while away, arrangements to have a copy mailed may be made through Charl Petry, 648-2541.  Alternatively, the Periodico appears on the website shortly after publication, and can be read at www.esperanzaestates.net.

Work on the pool and spa is coming along well. Final railings need to be installed and some adjustments made to the water chemistry. Watch for the opening date, which should be later this week..

Buffelgrass Awareness Symposium to be held today, Monday, May 3, 2010 starting at 9:00 A.M. at the Green Valley Fire District Headquarters (1285 W Camino Encanto, just off Camino del Sol.)
