Board Meets Today
Today at 1 pm in the Ramada the EE HOA Board will hold it's monthly
meeting. The meeting promises to be brief. You may not even need the
Comfy Tush Cushions today. The agenda appears at the bottom of this
memo.
Attention Ramada Wi-fi Users
The wi-fi at the Ramada will be unavailable on Monday, May 20, from noon
to 3:00 p.m. This will allow absent board members to participate in the
board meeting via Skype.
Missing a Key?
Ooops! An EE resident accidentally pocketed an extra key (NOT a pool
key) when leaving the pool last week. If you're missing a key, it's been
returned to the pool area decorated with a red ribbon.
Donuts Still a Draw
EE summer residents turned out last Wednesday morning for the last
Coffee Klatch of the year sponsored by the Millers and the Cookes. No
heaters necessary this time of year. Lenny Borgmann, Terry Jackson and
Janet Kawalski were the lucky door prize winners.
Dive-In Movie on Wednesday
No, it's not a misspelling! We already had the first drive-in movie, but
with the arrival of hot weather, the Ramada pool is the place to be. The
movie will start at 7:30, but come at 6:30 for a hot dog cookout and
music. Please bring your own beverages.
The movie will be Blue Hawaii, the ultimate Elvis Presley musical of the
1960's-and the biggest box office success of his entire Hollywood
career.
Margarita Madness
The Wednesday morning Coffee Klatch has ended for the season. But the
Millers and Cookes will sponsor a free Margaritas in the Afternoon on
June 19, starting at 4:00 at the Ramada. Attendees are asked to bring an
appetizer to share.
Next Monday Morning Memo
If you only read the Memo on the EE website rather than via email, you
may not be able to read the May 27 or June 3 memos on the day they are
published. Our webmaster will be on the road during one of those dates
and will be unable to post the memo until he has access to his computer.
For those of you who receive the memo by email, you will receive the
memo at the usual time. (If you've been meaning to sign up to
receive the memo by email, now would be a perfect time to do it!
Click
here to go to the MMM index page, then click on 'Click here to
automatically receive each week's MMM' and provide the requested
information.)
Tucson Pops Music Under the Stars
Enjoy an evening of music with the Tucson Pops Orchestra and the Sons of
Orpheus--the male choir of Tucson on Sunday, May 26 at the DeMeester
Outdoor Performance Center in Reid Park. For an easy parking space and a
choice seat, bring your own chair or blanket to scout out a spot at 5
pm. The grassy amphitheatre is the perfect spot for a picnic lunch while
you wait for the 7 pm concert start. The concerts are free. Donations
are solicited during the performance.
Say "Scram" to Scammers
Tired of getting scam calls about insurance, grandchildren and Microsoft
Windows? Wondering what's next on the scammer's radar? Representative
Ron Barber will host a ninety-minute "Senior Scam Seminar" at
9:30 am,
Monday, June 10, at the GVR West Center. You can RSVP to reserve a
seat at 881-3588, or email
at az02.rsvp@mail.house.gov .
Next time I get a scam call, think I'll ask, "Does your mother know
you're doing this?"
Want to opt out of insurance and credit card mail offers for 5 years?
Phone 1-888-567-8688. And yes, you will have to give personal
information over the phone to do this.
