Board Meeting Today
The May meeting of the HOA Board will be held today at 1:00 p.m. at the Ramada.  These meetings are always informative and entertaining.  It's the best way to find out first hand what is going on in EE, and weigh in on any proposals. A Day for the Donut
The last free coffee and donuts of the season will be thisWednesday, May 21, at 8:30 a.m. at the Ramada. Thanks to the Millers and Cookes for generously sponsoring this popular monthly event. Did you know that although it may be just a piece of fried dough, the donut actually has its very own day? National Doughnut Day is celebrated on the first Friday of every June.  Here's another piece of donut trivia: Dunkin Donuts is credited with the shorter spelling of "doughnut."

Wednesday Movie
The Monuments Men starring George Clooney.  In a race against time, a crew of art historians and museum curators unite to recover renowned works of art stolen by Nazis before Hitler destroys them. Show time is 7:00 p.m. at the Ramada.

Attention Neighborhood Watch Block Captains
Updated Neighborhood Watch Zone Sheets will be available for the Block Captains to pick up at the HOA Board Meeting this afternoon at the Ramada.  If you are unable to come to the meeting, you can pick up your sheet at the Wednesday morning coffee at the Ramada.

Vacationing?
Last summer we enjoyed learning where people went for the summer.  Some of our residents have some exciting summer plans for this year. If you are taking a vacation or an interesting day trip, send us your photos and we'll share them in the Periodico.  Send photos to droessle@mac.com.

The Periodico has been fortunate to have several people contribute articles to our publication.  Now we'd like to expand our team.  Whether you can write an occasional article or are willing to submit something every month, we need your talent.  We can help you with the writing process if you want.  We're also looking for ideas for future articles. Net Gain
Thanks to Ken Adler and Kevin Welsh, there are now new nets at the sports courts.  Their clever device eliminates the previous potential hazard of ropes between nets.  The new nets can be easily moved out of the way, making the court useable for tennis without the hassle of taking the pickleball nets down and folding them up to put away.
