The Last Picture Show
The title says it all. The Last Picture Show will be the final weekly Wednesday movie at the Ramada. The movie starts at 7:00 p.m. in the pool area; hot dogs and chips will be served starting at 6:00. Bring your own beverage and watch the movie from the pool, hot tub, or a lounge chair.  Thanks to Kevin and Linda Welsh for providing this popular event. Oven Training
Delicious aroma alert!  If you detect the unmistakable and irresistible aroma of freshly baked bread wafting through the air on Wednesday, rest assured you are not hallucinating. Follow your nose to the new Parque Felicidad.  Kevin Welsh will hold a class in the proper operation of the wood fired oven this Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the park.  He will build a fire and bring the oven up to temp. Attendance is required for anyone desiring to be on the authorized users list. You can plan on cooking pizza, breadsticks, or anything else you bring after the class. The oven should be down to bread baking temp around 3:00 p.m.

Cool Read
When the temperatures soar later this month, think cool by reading the EE Book Discussion Group's selection for June.  The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey takes place in Alaska in the 1920s.  Join in the discussion at the meeting on June 2 at 11:00 a.m. 

Who Are You?
Need a name tag for EE events? The monthly order for EE name tags will go in Wednesday, May 13th, so if you want one and have not yet placed your order, please do so before noon on Wednesday. The next order will be sent in approximately the middle of June. Names tags may be ordered by contacting Melodye Cooke at 399-0455. The cost is $6 per tag.

Fabulous Fiesta
The number of residents may have dwindled, but the enthusiasm certainly hasn't.  A festively dressed crowd turned out for the Hospitality Committee's Cinco de Mayo party last week and brought delicious southwest dishes.  Thanks to the committee for organizing the last big bash of the season.  Special thanks to Tom Cooke who not only pressure washed the floor for the event, but then turned comedian and told his Cinco de Mayo joke.

New Pickleball Times
It must be getting warmer.  Pickleball will now be played on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sunday at 8:00 a.m.

Road Closure
Planning a trip to Tucson, especially to the Lowe's on Valencia?  Note that from Monday, May 11 at 4:00 a.m. through Saturday, May 16 at 4:00 p.m., the westbound on-ramp at Valencia Road will be closed. You can use Benson Highway as an alternate route. 

Memorial Service
A memorial service for Ron Keitzer will be held on Saturday, June 6, at 11:00 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church on W. Mission Twin Buttes Road (off Camino del Sol).
