Our Hospitality Committee will be trying something new on April 12th: Hotdog Nite. Enjoy a Hebrew National, 1/4-lb all-beef frank on a bun with your choice of chili, onions and cheese, served with chips and a soft drink for just $6 per person.  Get a second frank for half-price.  Such a deal!  Come on down for a real treat and something new.

SPRING CONCERT

Sons Of Orpheus Men's Chorus is returning to Green Valley on Thursday, April 7th at 7 p.m. for a performance at the GV Performing Arts Center on Continental Rd.  Featured will be vocal and violin soloists, a cowboy trio, classic selections by the choir, and a special appearance by the Tucson Russian Balalaika Orchestra. This concert will be celebrating the Orpheus Men's Chorus 20th Anniversary.
Tickets are available at the GV Chamber of Commerce and the Performing Arts Center (399-1750) for $12 in advance, or $15 at the door. The chorus has sung in Green Valley on many occasions, and is well-known for its annual Christmas concert with the Tucson Boy's Chorus at Mission San Xavier.

A nude sunbather was reported at the pool last Friday.  Be advised that nude sunbathing is not allowed at the pool, and all users must wear appropriate attire.

Reminder: The Water Aerobics group will begin meeting again today (Monday, April 4), 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the EE pool, and will continue on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays thereafter.

All of our pool deck furniture is scheduled to be replaced in the near future. The existing furniture was purchased back in 2003, and is now about 8 years old.  It has held up well, given our climate and its level of use, but it is showing its age. When the new items arrive, we will be holding a sale at the Ramada to dispose of the existing furniture, most of which would fine for use on someone's patio. There will be ample notice of the sale. The new furniture is expected to arrive in 3-4 weeks.

About 50 people showed up for a meeting at the Ramada last Tuesday to exchange ideas about the trash hauling situation in EE, and the possibility of limiting trash haulers in EE to one company. There were many opinions stated. It was meant to be an information-gathering meeting only, and no decisions were made. Watch for further meetings in the future on this topic.  Email Dean Hess at hess325@msn.com or call 398-4829 if you want to comment on this initiative.

Wi-Fi at the Ramada is gaining in popularity as daytime temperatures rise.  More people used the service in a single day recently than used it throughout an entire week during our colder weather.  Close to 500 connections have been made since the service was turned on in early December.  In the next few weeks, in response to requests from past users, enhanced security will be implemented to allow users to more safely access 'sensitive' information -- email, credit card, banking, investment, and medical records included. Watch for more details, including a log-in password, soon.
