Board Meeting Today
The HOA Board meets today
at 1:00 p.m. at
the Ramada. The agenda appears at the end of this memo, but you
never know what excitement awaits.

Gardeners' Meeting
The EE Gardeners will meet on Wednesday,
April 23, at 3:00 p.m. at
the Ramada to discuss plans for next year and hear the status
report for the shady park near the sports courts. Anyone
interested is welcome to attend. |

Awatering We Go, Awatering We Go
With seasonal residents leaving in droves, the EE Gardeners
are looking for more volunteers to keep our parks in good shape
over the summer months. Thanks to Terra and Gary
Williams and Emil
Ziemer who
have already volunteered for water duty. If you can help,

The Earth Thanks You
Joe McCalpin who
headed up GVC's household hazardous waste event on Saturday
reports that the event was a great success. The numbers aren't
in yet, but Joe's sense is that records were set in each
category. Thanks to all the volunteers (many of whom were from
EE) and residents who sat in line knowing it was a worthwhile
event. The woman who was first in line said she arrived at 6:15
for the 8:00 opening. It was a point of pride for her, having
been first last year too. |

Cinco de Mayo
Yes, Marla Ries will be leaving for the season, but fear
not, the show will go on! The summer Hospitality Committee crew
is ready and eager to hold the annual Cinco de Mayo Potluck on
(you guessed it) Monday May 5th, starting at
4:30. The committee will whip up some margaritas (they've
already tasted several flavors to be sure to give you the best)
and will also provide other beverages. Please bring your
favorite southwestern (or non-southwestern) dish to share, and
please label anything that's extremely spicy. Wear fiesta attire
if you want, and practice your swing ahead of time so you'll be
able to break the traditional pinata.
