Esperanza Estates

Green Valley, Az.

Good Morning:

The regular April Board meeting will be held today at 1:00 at Sunset Ramada. An agenda follows this Memo.

The old metal cabinet containing the pool testing equipment and other miscellaneous items (mostly useless) has been replaced. The prior cabinet was falling apart, and had become an eyesore. Just getting rid of it enhances the appearance of the pool enclosure.

A new thermostat has been ordered for the spa skimmer. The old one developed the habit of reading 120 degrees when the actual temperature was about 98.

Here is an interesting idea from some EE residents:

LOVE STORIES - At some point in our lives all of us have been in love. Hopefully most of us still retain that love. The object of such emotion could be another person, a pet, an idea, an object of art, or whatever. Two local residents have developed the idea of putting together a book of stories over the next year from Esperanza people about these loves. It would be an Esperanza Estates book of love stories.

It is suggested that you think about this and write up your story. It can be brief, but we would prefer a three or four page effort. Or if you you’re lazy or not much into writing, you can merely tell your story and it will be prepared for you. Melodye Cooke (399-0455) will center-post this project and would like to hear from you, and Sandy Reed (393-1427) is prepared to talk to you and write up your ideas. If we go to print with these tales, you would of course have the last word on your own story. Let’s hear from you on this idea. We hope you have an exciting story to tell.

About 25 EE residents enjoyed a potluck at Sunset Ramada last Thursday evening. Remember, Sunset Ramada is available for your use for similar gatherings and parties. There are only very minimal requirements, and no current charge for general use of the facility. It is an ideal location for events in which EE residents are participants, so keep it in mind.
Questions? Call 399-0455.

Two additional sun/wind screens will be installed shortly at the Ramada on the south side, courtesy of our Enhancement Team. This will pretty well allow most of the south side of the facility to be closed off in this manner, rendering it even more user friendly on days when we experience winds from the prevailing direction. The Team has a plan for the north side as well, which will be tackled next year as a project.

Remember Hamburger Nite tomorrow--Tuesday, beginning at 4:30. Should be a wonderful and balmy warm evening.  A great hamburger, cheeseburger, or vegi burger will be available, with all the trimmings, for a modest price. Soft drinks and water will be available as well.  Bring your own alcohol. We will see you there--at Sunset Ramada of course. Music will be featured on our new sound system.

Have a good week. We hear there is considerably warmer weather is ahead in the coming days.
