Board Meeting Today
The regular monthly Board meeting will
take place today at the Ramada at 1:00
p.m. The Board encourages all
homeowners to attend the meeting. Use
of the new projector and screen may
make presentations easier to follow.
An agenda is included at the end of
this edition of the Memo.
Coffee & Donuts
The monthly complimentary coffee &
donuts will be held at the Ramada at
8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18.
Join your neighbors for some relaxing
conversation over a cup of coffee at
these popular events.
Volunteers Spread Gravel
Seventeen volunteers showed up with
shovels and rakes to spread 15 yards of
gravel in the common area on del Norte
last week. The gravel will help
alleviate the dust problem in that area
on windy days. Thanks everyone for
your efforts.
The Last Burger Night
A respectable number of residents turned
out for the last Burger Night of the
season. We appreciate all the work the
Hospitality Committee puts in to provide
these popular events to us every month.
It was nice to have a chance to say
good-bye to many of our seasonal
residents who will be heading home in
the next week or two. Thanks to
Chef Lorraine who grilled the
burgers in Sam Barnard's absence.
Our Snake and Flag on Clay
Studio Tour
Our centennial snake and flag were one
of the stops on the Santa Rita Clay
Studio's tour of clay projects around
Green Valley last Friday. Around 30
members viewed the snake, took pictures
and gave our project rave reviews.
Cynthia Surprise, who happened to be
sitting in Flag Park when the tour
arrived, acted as ad hoc docent
and answered their many questions.
EE Arts Club
Sixteen members of the newly formed EE
Arts Club met last week to discuss ideas
for neighborhood public art projects.
Think you'd like to get your creative
juices flowing? Keep your eye out for
a chance to join your neighbors in
producing a mosaic tortoise, a miniature
adobe village, or flock of birds. Next
meeting is scheduled for May 7
at 2 p.m.
Reminder: NO FIRES in Flag (aka
Esperanza) Park
Just a reminder that the EE HOA Board
requests that the fire pit in Flag Park
not be used at this time.
Neighborhood Watch Update If you are leaving for the season,
please be sure your Neighborhood Watch
Block Captain has your current emergency
contact information.
Bye Bye Bees
The bee hive in the pool wall expansion
crack has been sealed off and the swarm
of bees in that area eliminated.
Post Office Parking Lot Closure
The Pima County DOT is repairing the parking
lot at the Post Office on Continental Road.
The work began yesterday and will continue
on Sunday April 22 and Sunday April 29. The
parking lot will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to
3:00 p.m. on both those days.
