Ramada Sale Sets New Record
The net proceeds from the Enhancement Team's combined patio and bake
sale last Saturday totaled $3,781, and will be used for projects
around EE. The team will donate the few items that did not sell to the
White Elephant and the Animal League. We are grateful to the team
members and other volunteers for their very hard work, and to the
generous EE residents who donated goods to the sale and shopped.

EE Appreciates Its
Volunteers
What would life in EE be like without our volunteers? Unthinkable.
To show the HOA's appreciation for their efforts, all EE volunteers are
invited to attend a party in their honor on Sunday, April 1. This will
be a complimentary catered dinner and the Volunteer of the Year will be
announced. Invitations will be delivered soon.
Hamburger Nights
Contrary to prior reports, there will be a Hamburger Night in April.
New EE Computer
Group Forming
Our webmaster, Craig Surprise, would like to start an EE Computer
Group for EE residents. If you have a laptop or tablet computer, want to
share tips on using them, or to help solve problems and increase your
computer proficiency, this may be the group for you. All levels of
experience are welcome. Contact Craig at
cncsurprise@verizon.net if
you are interested in joining.
EE Hikers
Hikers head to Hope Camp Trail today after meeting at the
Ramada at 8:30 a.m. Fearless Leader Marian Mundale hints at spectacular
views of the Rincons on this 5.8 mile moderate hike with a mere 600 feet
of elevation. It's a nice trail with no rocks. The weather forecast is
for highs in the 80s. Hikers are encouraged to bring plenty of water and
snacks. Estimated time for the return to the Ramada is 2 p.m. Carfare
will be $5.
Afternoon Aqua
Exercise
Aqua Exercise continues to meet from 3-4 p.m. on Tuesday and
Thursdays. Several men have participated and all have, to our knowledge,
survived. Come for all 60 minutes--stretching, aerobics, trunk/back
conditioning and strength training or join in for only a few minutes.
Whatever you chose, just get moving in the water! It does a body good.
Long Range Planning
Committee
The initial meeting of the Board's newly created Long Range Planning
Committee will be held at the Ramada on Wednesday, March 21, at 9:30
a.m. All interested homeowners are welcome to attend. For information or
if you are interested in joining the committee, call Stacie Meyer at
344-7301.
EE Gardeners Setting
Priorities
The EE Gardeners set up several committees aimed on improving park
areas in EE in the future. Several issues were identified as priorities.
Trail maps will be updated and placed in a box in the Ramada. The costs
of options for picnic tables in Esperanza Park will be investigated. An
analysis of improving the accessibility of Esperanza Park and it's
pathways will be performed. A redesign of Esperanza Monument landscaping
will be drawn up.
New SAV Volunteer
Congratulations to Patty Adler who graduated from the Sheriff's
Auxiliary Volunteers Academy last Thursday after completing SAV's
intensive 8 week training course.
Reception Invitation
Friends of author (and Periodico publisher) Denise Roessle cordially
invite all EE residents to a wine and cheese reception at the Ramada on
March 18, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., to celebrate the publication of
Denise's first book, Second-Chance Mother. Her book will
be available for purchase and signing at the reception.
Want to Display the
Periodico Faster?
Is your computer slow to display the Periodico? Our webmaster
suggests using Google's Chrome browser in place of your current browser.
It will speed up display of the first page of an issue and let you start
reading while downloading of the rest of the issue finishes. To download
and install Chrome on a Windows PC (running XP, Vista, or '7') through a
secure web site, click here and follow the instructions.

degeneration expert will discuss specifics of this disease, possible
treatments and research findings.

Green Valley Health

businesses will provide the latest information about health issues and

Green Valley
Community Directory
Volunteers Judy and Al Prato delivered copies of the new directory
last week. If you were not at home, they could not leave one. Please
call Judy at 269-7217 to schedule a delivery. Remember that you can
recycle old copies (without front and back covers) at the Lions'
recycling center in front of Joyner Library.
Documentary
Featuring EE Residents
EE residents Paul and Becky McCreary are making a documentary which
will include the stories of some EE residents. A few people have already
been interviewed for the project, but the McCrearys are looking for
more. If you want to tell about your adventures or some aspect of your
life, contact the McCrearys at 970-596-1505 or send email to
stay@mainstreethouse.com.
Everyone has a story.
Earring Found
A tiny silver earring was found at the Ramada on Thursday. If you
