EE Hikers Backtrack Before Hitting the Trail
In a charmingly characteristic move for the ever-flexible EE Hikers, this week's group has reversed its course before even setting foot on the trail. The Bridal Wreath Falls Hike originally planned for today, has been re-scheduled for Monday, March 11. Today's hike will be a shorter jaunt on the Nature Trail in Madera Canyon--the hike originally scheduled for February 18, but changed to Proctor Road/Elephant Head hike. Maybe there's a pattern here?
Looking for a 2.5 mile beautiful hike on a gorgeous day with great companions? Meet at the Ramada this morning at 8 am. Bring $2 for carfare, water and snacks. You'll be back in time for lunch.

H.O.G.s Outnumber Hot Chicks
For a brief moment the HOGS (Hot Old Guys) outnumbered the Hot Chicks participating in afternoon Aqua Exercise classes at the EE pool last Thursday. Despite their protests of "men can't do that", they put their all into the routine and huffed and puffed their way through. With the forecast for afternoon temperatures in the 70s, it's ideal weather to get fit in the water. There's still room for you at 3 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Attention Pickleball Players
Warmer days are moving the hours of morning play to 9:00 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.  Hours for Ladies Only on Thursday and Competitive play on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday will remain at 1:00.

Movie Of The Week
Same place (Ramada), same day (Wednesday) new show time (6:30).
The movie for March 6 is 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel'.  To make the most of their meager retirement savings, a group of British seniors moves to India to live out their golden years at the Marigold Hotel. But upon arrival, they discover the once-lavish resort has wilted considerably. Powerful cast including Judi Dench and Maggie Smith.

Home & Garden Tour
Tickets for the EE Home & Garden Tour on Sunday, March 24 are still available, but will go very quickly, so act now to ensure you get to peek past the courtyard gate. The tour is from 1:00 to 3:00 and will be followed by a wine and cheese party at the Ramada. Only EE residents may purchase tickets, and if you bring a guest, please accompany them on the tour. Tickets are $15 each and 2 for $25, and may be purchased by calling Jackie Rautio at 269-7864.

Attention All EE Volunteers!
Mark your calendars for the Volunteer Appreciation Party, where the HOA honors those who have given their time and talents to make Esperanza Estates a wonderful place to live. Scheduled for Saturday, April 6, at Sunset Ramada, the evening will include a cocktail hour, a delicious catered dinner, and presentation of the award for Volunteer of the Year. Invitations will be delivered to our volunteers during March.

GV Community Directory
Thanks to Judy and Al Prato for delivering the new directories to all EE residents. If you didn't receive a copy and would like one, please call Judy at 269-7217.

Ramada Sale Success
Congratulations to the Enhancement Team for another successful patio and bake sale. This year's sales totaled over $3,300! Bakery sales significantly increased the cash count as well as our waistlines. The Enhancement Team will use the money for some great projects to enhance EE. Thanks to the Team for their hard work in organizing the sale, to the Men's Auxiliary and all the other volunteers who assisted at the sale, and to everyone who donated and purchased items.

Sneak Peek Patio Preview Sale Survives Sequester
Actually the two have nothing to do with each other but, I just liked the alliteration. EE residents turned out in full force Friday for fine finds at the Sneak Peek Patio Preview Sale to add to the Enhancement coffers. Baked goods disappeared, friends chatted, and neighbors bought neighbors "stuff." All in all, a profitable and enjoyable hour that will be on the schedule for the next sale.

Green Valley Council News
GVC announces that there will be a second meeting of the Canoa Historic Advisory Group for the new Green Valley Hospital. It will take place at First American Title, Suite 24 in Green Valley Village on Tuesday, March 5th at 9:00 am. The seating will be limited to 50, so you'll need to arrive early.

GVC Golf Tournament
The GVC Benefit Golf Tournament will take place on March 11. There's still time to join an EE fearsome foursome. Call Joe McCalpin at 867-8067 to sign up and help bring the trophy to EE.
