Hike and Hops Group Heading for Brown Mountain
EE's Hikers head for the hills of the Brown Mountain Trail today at 7:30 am.  The full sun 4 mile hike with 800 feet of elevation gain offers expansive views of Baboquivari and the Kitt Peak Observatories. Water, snacks, poles: bring 'em.  A trip to Tiny's on the way home may be in the cards.
More Swim Time
Starting on Tuesday, April 1, the EE pool will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
QiGong, Anyone?
Sandra Gazlay will be practicing QiGong at the pool on Tuesday, April 1, at 8:30 a.m. and would be happy to help anyone interested in learning this gentle form of exercise from ancient China. Sandra says it's a wonderful form of exercise for people who want to stay healthy and fit at any age. Practice will include breathing, gentle stretching and movement.
Donna Does Discussions
Donna Shay is a woman of many talents.  This week she is conducting three discussion groups: Fiber Arts on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. (show and tell), Color Me Beautiful on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. (try to bring a friend whose color you will analyze), and Home Decor on Friday at 10:00 a.m. (the group will visit three EE homes.) All groups meet in the Ramada, and these will be the final meetings this year.
Water Aerobics Is Back
The Water Aerobics Group will resume again on Wednesday, April 2, 8:00-9:00 a.m., and continue on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at that time until further notice.  All are welcome.
Movie of the Week
The movie this week is the 1970 film Airport. If you read the article in the recent Periodico, you know that the character played by George Kennedy was based on EE resident Iona Davis' husband, Roy. Showtime is Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. at the Ramada. Root beer floats will be served. A donation to the Arts Club is appreciated.
Volunteers to be Honored
All of the many EE volunteers are very important people. Without the countless hours they put in on behalf of our HOA, EE would be a very different place. Next Saturday, April 4, we'll let them know how much we regard their services at the annual Volunteers Appreciation Dinner.
Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Volunteers Needed
Want to help with an important community project? Volunteer to spend 3 hours helping out at the Green Valley Council's semi-annual household hazardous waste disposal event at Valley Presbyterian Church on Saturday, April 19. Call Pat Sharpe at 625-7716 to volunteer.
Seven Decades of Marriage -- Wow!
Congratulations to Allan and Marcella Niemi who celebrated their 70th (platinum) wedding anniversary yesterday.
Leaving EE?
If you are leaving for the season, please consider donating your unopened pantry items to the GV Food Bank and your books to the EE Book Exchange.
Jaguarundi
