Monday Morning Memo-------------March 31^st

Good Morning:

Our Enhancement Team did a bit of additional landscaping at the new Portillo entrance monument, with the addition of some fresh gravel and cacti. The iron lettering was also refreshed with glossy paint and the arch bell was also installed. It looks very nice and very complete. Future plans for this area include a raised flower bed, benches, better solar lighting, and an access trail.

The Enhancement Team’s thank you Coffee Hour was held Saturday at Sunset Ramada. About 35 people attended and enjoyed coffee and home-made goodies. This was a thank you to all who helped support the Team’s most productive year, which is now drawing to a close for the summer. However, never fear--the Team is already planning for next year, and is putting together an ambitious agenda of new projects which will help make EE an even more beautiful and pleasant place to be.

The thank you event for the specially invited volunteers will be held April 1^st at Sunset Ramada. If you have RSVP’d for this event, please join us at Sunset Ramada at 4:30pm. This will be an evening of fun, food, and music for all volunteers who help make EE a very special place. Please BYOB. All else, including a special music presentation, will be provided. This event is jointly co-sponsored by our Enhancement Team and our Hospitality Committee, and attendance is by invitation.

The Hospitality Committee’s next Hamburger Night is set for April 8^th, which is a Tuesday evening. The last few such events have been enormously popular, so please plan on attending. The festivities begin at 4:30. Bring your own alcohol, but all else will be available. Come early, and enjoy a beautiful evening with friends, and meet some new ones.

Unless I can talk Callie into pinch-hitting with the Memo, there wont be one for the next couple of weeks, as the editor will be traveling.
