Monday Morning Memo

March 30, 2015        Esperanza Estates        Green Valley, AZ

Summer Pool Hours & Morning Aqua Exercise
Summer Pool Hours begin April 1.  The pool and spa will be open from 6 am to 9 pm.  Starting April 8 at 8 am aqua exercise--easy on your joints and good for your circulation-- starts. Judy Lang and Terry Jackson will lead the group through the summer months on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Still Time to Install a Back Seat in Your Golf Cart
Get ready now for the 3rd Annual Arts Club Drive-In Movie scheduled for Wednesday at 7 pm. See Captain Jack Sparrow as he's never been seen before--projected onto the Shay's garage door at 1118 Del Sur. Come early and bring a comfy chair to watch Pirates of the Caribbean at World's End.

Fiber Arts
Thursday at 1 pm.  Bring your own project.  Share your expertise.  Learn from your friends and neighbors.

AED Class--You mean there's homework?
Friday, April 3 from 9 to 11:30 am and again from noon to 2:30 pm the Green Valley Fire Department will conduct two sessions of their CPR/AED class at the Ramada. There are two more spaces left. Pick your time slot and contact Barb McCalpin at 867-8067 or bmccalpin@cox.net. to sign up. Barb will be at the Ramada Tuesday from 9-10 am to distribute the required instruction booklets to participants.

Volunteers Celebrate Volunteers
Many thanks to Tom Cooke, Ben & Mona Sheffield, Mary Beth Wallace, Kay Miller, Cynthia Gates, and Marla Ries for their contributions to last week's Volunteer Recognition Reception.

Mountainview Park Improvements
EE thanks go to Chris and Joanne Amoroso and Joan White for their contribution of two new blue pots recently placed in Mountainview Park.  Thanks, also,  to Dick "Cactus" Carver for his boulder rolling efforts in reshaping the northwest entry path from the park.

Step Up to Lead the Arts Club
Tuesday, April 8, at 9am the Arts Club will meet.  Kevin Welsh will be stepping down from the leadership role at that time.  If you've an interest in arts and crafts, you're welcome to participate. Many thanks Kevin for your hard work.

"Our" Marvol Makes News Again
EE resident and renowned golf pro Marvol Barnard was lauded in Sunday's Green Valley News for her efforts in bringing Nancy Lopez to Green Valley for a well attended golf clinic.

Signs, signs, signs!
With the spring estate/garage/yard sale season getting into full swing, please extend the common courtesy to your neighbors of asking their permission to place your sale sign on their property or by the street where a sign might interfere with their coming and going in their car.

Flag Raising Ceremony
From Jim Copeland: Celebrate our flag at noon on April 8th at Esperanza Estates Park.  A new flag pole has been installed so plan to be there to celebrate the first raising of the flag. Hot dogs, chips and lemonade will be served using the new BBQ and refurbished picnic tables. Bring a chair as seat will be limited. See you there.
