Esperanza Estates

Green Valley, AZ

March 21

Good Morning:

The regular monthly EE Board meeting will be held today at the Ramada, beginning at 1:00 p.m.  All residents are invited to attend. A meeting agenda follows this edition of the Memo.

Pickleball hours will change, effective today, to begin at 9:00 a.m. instead of 10:00 where it will remain until further notice. The Wednesday afternoon play will be moved to the morning, also at 9:00. Warmer temperatures have suggested the necessity to begin earlier. Saturday hours will not change.

Coffee and Donuts at the Ramada was attended by about 35 people, who enjoyed the company and the coffee and donuts.

The Volunteer Landscape crew took up their duties after Coffee and Donuts on March 16 and did some clean up work along the walking trail.  With warmer temperatures here to stay and some of the volunteers returning home for the summer, this was their last effort for the season.  We hope to see them back in the fall since their work really helps keep our common areas looking nice.

The annual EE Volunteer Appreciation Dinner will be held next Sunday, March 27, at the Ramada. at 4:00 p.m. Attendance is by invitation only. The Volunteer of the Year  award will be conferred at the dinner. During this event the HOA recognizes the important and invaluable role played by all of the volunteers who help our subdivision over the course of the year. These people all contribute their time and talent, and in most cases if we didnt have their help, the HOA would need to hire and pay someone to do the job they do for us, and our annual dues would be much higher than at present. Thus they deserve this annual recognition, and the HOA is glad to provide it. Interested in volunteering for something? Opportunities are available.

The Italian Nite festivities held last Saturday evening were wonderful. About 65 people enjoyed a balmy evening and a fine Italian dinner, served with all the accompaniments, by our outstanding Hospitality Committee. Music was provided by guest artist Leo Ellison, who played his accordion with great skill, and a finer troubadour hasn't been seen in our Ramada. Many thanks to our Committee for putting this affair on for our enjoyment.

The March Periodico will be arriving in your electronic mailbox in about a week.  If you don't have email, you may pick up a printed copy at the Ramada.

The US Postal Service has given us a reminder that the mailbox in front of your home is to be used only for the mail. It shouldn't be used for insertion of any other material that you might be delivering.

Have a good week. Hope your St. Paddy's Day last week was all green! Hope you enjoyed the first day of spring yesterday--although in Arizona it usually passes without much notice.
