Monday Morning Memo

St. Patrick's Day Dinner  
Over 80 people enjoyed a specially prepared dinner of traditional Irish fare at the Ramada this past Saturday night.  Music, comedy and dancing made this a delightful evening. Many thanks to the Hospitality Committee for their hard work in preparing and serving a delicious meal, and compliments to Chef Lorraine for a wonderful lemon cheesecake.

Board Meeting Today 
The regular monthly Board meeting will take place today at the Ramada at 1:00 p.m.  The Board encourages all homeowners to attend the meeting.  An agenda is included at the end of this edition of the Memo. 

Volunteers Appreciation Dinner
The HOA's annual salute to the many hard-working EE volunteers will take place on April 1 at the Ramada.  Invitations to the catered dinner have been delivered, and recipients are asked to RSVP by Tuesday,March 20, to the individual listed on their invitation.

Monthly Coffee and Donuts
 The popular monthly coffee and donuts will be held at the Ramada this Wednesday, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Coffee and donuts are free, and you have a chance to win a door prize. Thanks to Ken and Kay Miller for their generosity in hosting these monthly events.

Head and Tail Party
A party to celebrate the completion of the head and tail on the ceramic snake will be held in Esperanza Estates Park on Thursday, March 22, at 4:00 p.m. Bring wine and hors d'oeuvres to share, napkins and glassware will be provided. Everyone is invited. 

Bienvenidos Committee to Welcome Newcomers
The Bienvenidos Committee has invited all new EE homeowners to a wine and cheese party on April 4 to welcome them to our community.  Invitations have been delivered. If you are a new owner and did not receive one, please contact Cynthia Surprise at 205-2742.  

Green Valley - Sahaurita Community Food Bank  
The Feinstein Foundation will partially match all contributions to the Food Bank during March and April.  Please remember the Food Bank bin when you attend any function at the Ramada, especially during these two months when your contribution will be worth more.

NO EE HIKE TODAY
There will be no EE Hike this week.  Join the group next Monday, March 26.  The Brown Mountain hike in the Tucson Mountains will be approximately 5 miles.  It's a rocky climb with 800 feet of elevation.  Drivers will need to display their National Park passes in West Saguaro Park.  Car fare-$5.  Meet at the EE Ramada at 8 a.m. (Note that the starting time has been moved up.)  Bring plenty of water.

Congratulations to Lorna Kitchak
Lorna Kitchak was recently elected as co-President of the Green Valley Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW).   

Aquasize Buoys
Last Tuesday's aquasize group of 18 (!!) filled the pool--and ran out of buoys.  If you're into water exercise, and would like to purchase your own jumbo Hydrofit buoys contact Kris Bean at 777-8658.   Hydrofit currently has a reduced price advertised for quantities of 6 at a time.

Street Light Reminder
Our CC&Rs require that all homes maintain their street light in an operable condition.  Please check your light during the dark hours to assure it is working. If you need a new bulb, the HOA will provide a new one and change it for you on request, at no charge. Please call 399-0455, or 398-4829 to arrange for a new bulb and replacement.
