Monday Morning Memo------------March 17th
Good Morning:
Our Enhancement Team has moved the planned Coffee
Party from today until March 29th, due to
inclement weather. Please come and join the Team on the
29th , along with the many others in EE who
will be celebrating the accomplishments our Team was
able to complete this past season with the help of our
loyal residents and friends.
Kudos to Lance Ewing, Ben Sheffield, and Vince Brow,
who put up the "Esperanza Estates" lettering on the new
sign on south Portillo. The lettering is black iron, and
against the Travertine background of the masonry, looks
really great. A solar light has been placed
appropriately to keep it lit at night.
About 100 people enjoyed one of our famous Hamburger
Nights last Tuesday at Sunset Ramada, put on by our
always amazing Hospitality Committee. They were all out
in their usual rare form, tending to all of the guest
with alacrity and finesse. It was also a night to
celebrate the birthday of long-time resident Clay
Crawford--and enjoy a slice of his cake. These Hamburger
Nights are getting to be very popular events. Our thanks
go out to the Committee for all of their work in putting
on these events that we all so enjoy.
The Committees next special occasion is Spaghetti
Night, March 25th
at Sunset Ramada. Tickets are needed for this event,
and they are now on sale. Tickets may be obtained from
Pauline Blum, or Sam Barnard, and checks should be made
out in either name. Ticket price is $12.00. Only 100
tickets will be sold for this event, and sales close
Sunday, March 23rd. The menu for the evening
will be spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread, salad,
dessert, and complimentary wine. Don’t miss this one! If
you liked Hamburger Night--you are going to love
Spaghetti Night.
Many thanks to Gary Chelseth for sanding and
repainting the tables at Esperanza Estates (flag) Park.
These looked pretty sad before, but great now. This was
a big job, and Gary’s work is much appreciated.
The March Board meeting is scheduled for today at
1:00 pm at Sunset Ramada. The meeting agenda appears
below. If the weather is too chilly, the meeting will be
postponed until Wednesday at 1:00 pm, also at the
Ramada. If a decision to move the meeting is made, it
will be posted at the Ramada bulletin board by noon, and
notice will be sent to subscribers of the MMM via email.
Have a good week, and enjoy St. Patrick’s Day.
