Put the
Board on Your Agenda
Today at
1 pm the EE
HOA Board will hold a special meeting at the Ramada to discuss
the Asset Study Report and its implications for planning for the
future of EE.
EE's HOA Board
will hold its regularly scheduled meeting Monday, March
17 at 1 pm at
the Ramada. Draft minutes of the February 17th Board Meeting are
now posted on our website, esperanzaestates.net. |
Enhancement Meets Today
The EE
Enhancement Team meets today at the
Ramada. Be there at 10
am to join
the team. It's a great way to get involved in EE activities. |
The Big Wedding
This week's Wednesday movie
at the Ramada is The Big Wedding staring Robert De Niro,
Katherine Heigl and Diane Keaton. A long-divorced couple feigns
years of wedded bliss to please a special guest at their son's
nuptials: his birth mother. As the hoax spins out of control
among family and friends, it leaves behind a poignant and funny
tale about the ties that bind.
Show time is 7:00
p.m. and a $2.00 donation to the Arts Club is
appreciated. |
Ceiling Tile Help Needed
Our hard working volunteers will be working to finish up the
remaining details of the Ramada acoustical ceiling installation
on Wednesday, March
12. Any volunteer help will be appreciated. |
Color Me Recap
When we last left our heroine, Donna Shay, she'd assisted in
assigning color palettes to the Home Décor participants.
Further enlightenment follows Tuesday,
March 18 at 10 am in the Ramada.

Book Club to
Meet
The regularly scheduled meeting of the EE Book Club is scheduled
for Tuesday,
March 18 at 2 pm.
This month's book is And
the Mountains Echoed by
Khaled Hosseni. You may still have time to read it. Or, if you
prefer, you can get started on next month's selection, Going
Back to Bisbee by
Richard Shelton. |
Yee-haw
Dust off your best overalls and gingham and come on down to a
good ol' fashion Country Hoe Down on Wednesday,
March 19th, starting at 4:30. Think country,
folks, complete with your corn cob pipe and hay in your hair.
Country music will have your toes tappin' and your hands clappin'.
For $8, you get a pulled pork sandwich with your choice of
sauces, baked beans, cole slaw, beverage and dessert. All
homemade by our own Hospitality Committee. If you have country
style decoration to lend for the festivities, contact Marla
Ries at
360-708-0855. |
Recent Record Crowds Require Roasters
Do you have a huge roaster hiding way back in the pantry or
out in the shed? EE's next hospitality event, the Pulled
Pork Hoe Down, reveals our need for a couple of BIG electric
roasters. These would be very useful for keeping a variety
of foods warm. If you'd like to donate a roaster that's
taking up space and gathering dust, or if you'd like
to purchase and donate one, or if you'd be willing to loan
one, please contact Marla Ries at 360-708-0855 or gvmarlaries@gmail.com.

Do Not
Miss DoNuts
Coffee and
Donuts will be on the breakfast menu at the Ramada Wednesday,
March 19th at 8:30 am. The Cookes and
the Millers will
be doing the brewing and baking once again. |
Generous Contributors
Thank you, thank you, thank you to Charlie
and Donna Watt, Mary and Dean Hess, Eileen and Dick Vincent,
Marilyn and Leon Meyer and Wayne and Roberta Bower for
their recent donations to the Gardeners. The funds will be put
to great use in enhancing our parks. If you would like to make
a donation, contact Bill
Berdine at
344-7301. |
Waterers Wanted
Summer will be here sooner than you think, and the Gardeners
are looking for volunteers to water the plants in our parks. The
fun part is you get to drive Tillie the lawn tractor while
watering. It's a very enjoyable and rewarding activity, and is
critical to the survival of all those beautiful plants the
Gardeners added to the parks. Call Bill
Berdine at 344-7301 if
you can help out. |
Got Sausage?
If you haven't placed your order for Optimists sausages yet,
be sure to call Terry
Shay at
815-690-6178 or Kevin
Welsh at
231-838-6851 by Sunday,
March 16. |
Are You Enclosing Your Garage?
Jim Lindberg is
trying to contact the person who spoke to him at the last board
meeting about enclosing a garage. If you are that person,
please call Jim at 777-4972.
He has good news for you. |
Congratulations to the EE Golf Team
