Wednesday Movie 
The Arts Club Movie begins at 6 pm. It's French Kiss, a PG-13 rated romantic comedy from 1995 starring Meg Ryan and Timothy Hutton.

Coffee & Donuts
Mark your calendars now so you don't miss the next free coffee and donuts next Wednesday, February 18 at 8:00 a.m. Thanks to the Cookes and the Millers for sponsoring this event.

Board Meeting
The regular meeting of the HOA Board will be held at the Ramada on Monday, February 16, at 1:00 p.m. Among other items, the Board will consider a proposal by the Arts Club to construct a pizza oven at the new shade tree park.

Mardi Gras
Just because you aren't going to NOLA doesn't mean you can't celebrate Mardi Gras. The Hospitality Committee is bringing the beat of Bourbon Street to the Ramada on February 17 from 4:30 - 7:00.  The menu includes jambalaya, muffuletta, red beans & rice, bread pudding with bourbon sauce and Hurricanes, of course! Costumes are optional. Cost is $8.00 per person.

Genealogy Meeting
The genealogy group will meet at the Ramada on Wednesday, Feb 11 at 9:45 AM to go to the Family History Center in Sahuarita. The library is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 AM to 2 PM. Bring your family history.

Fiber Arts Meeting and Workshop
Learn to make a free-form fiber scarf by knitting and crocheting on fleece at the Fiber Arts Workshop on Thursday, February 12 at 1:00. Please bring knitting fibers to use. The regular fiber arts group will still meet for those not making a scarf.

Invitation from the Tennis Group
We have a fun and interesting tennis group badly in need of some new players. We start at 8:30 each Friday morning this time of year, and play sets of 4 games each of doubles. It's "low stress" and not high intensity, but just for fun. After the tennis we have mimosas offered, and then we all go out to breakfast. Please come try us out!

New Pickleball Hours
Starting time for all scheduled play pickleball is 9:00 a.m.  The courts are available for play by residents and their guests any time there is no scheduled play.

Habla Espanol?
For many years Green Valley has had an informal Spanish Conversation Group made up of people who are reasonably fluent in the language.  The group meets regularly just to chat and keep up language skills. Of the dozen present members, half come from Esperanza Estates. If you are interested in participating, contact Sandy Reed at 648-0334 or 393-1427.

Directory Correction
Ken & Terry Apeldoorn of 950 Regalo request that you correct their phone number in your copy of the 2015 EE directory. Their correct number is 520-305-4412.

Good Neighbors to the Rescue
A broken door knob left Hugh Gates trapped momentarily in the Men's restroom at the EE pool last week. After a few chuckles, Jackie and Gary Rautio obtained tools and aided Hugh's escape. Thanks to Greg Gramstad, an easy-open handle has replaced the broken door knob.

Happy Birthday to Us
Thanks to the Enhancement Team, a large group of EE residents got to celebrate their birthdays on Sunday. Very creative month-themed centerpieces decorated the tables, and after some strategic plays, we all got a gift. Thanks to all the ET volunteers who made this novel celebration a great success and to the attendees for supporting the ET.

Need a Ride?
The Green Valley Council has just completed a study of transportation services available in the Green Valley area. Joe McCalpin has left copies of the resulting brochure in the Ramada. Whether you need rides regularly or might just need a ride in an emergency it's a good thing to have on hand. Stop by and pick one up. Joe will replenish them as necessary.
