Green Valley, AZ February21Good Morning: The regular monthly EE Board meeting will be held today at the Ramada, beginning at 1:00 p.m. All residents are invited to attend. A meeting agenda follows this edition of the Memo. On Sunday, February 20th, Bienvenidos a Esperanza, our committee for welcoming newcomers to EE, held a luncheon at the Ramada. A program was presented to inform our new neighbors of how our HOA functions, to answer their questions, and to show them how to get involved in our many volunteer activities. A luncheon was also served to the attendees. The February Periodico will be arriving in your electronic mailbox in about a week. If you don't have email, you may pick up a printed copy at the Ramada. Remember the Enhancement Team's big annual yard and bake sale, coming up March 5. If you can help with sale items, or can bake something for the Team to sell, please call Bev Brow (625-7741); Lorna Kitchak (838-0653); or Jackie Rautio (269-7864). To donate baked goods, call Sandi Oster (625-0039), or Martha Fischer (207-0765.) An EE volunteer has been checking lamp post lights on his before-dawn walks to identify any that may need attention. If your bulb goes out, he'll install a replacement... unless the bad bulb is not the standard CFL bulb being provided by the HOA free-of-charge and the photosensor in the lamp has been identified as a 'CFL-killer' that causes CFL bulbs to fail prematurely. (If the photosensor is the problem, he'll leave a note so you can make arrangements to have it replaced.) With George Washington's Birthday today as a reminder, if you are flying a United States flag in EE, take a moment to ensure you are following proper etiquette for its display. If in doubt, ask a veteran, or Google 'U.S. Flag Code' to get a refresher on the correct manner of displaying the flag. Have a good week.
