Last Week Romance--This Week War
This week's Wednesday Arts Club movie will be the
2014 release "Fury" starring Brad Pitt. As the Allies make their
final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant
named Wardaddy commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a
deadly mission behind enemy lines. Be there a bit before the 6 pm
start time to arrange your chair and select your 'tush cushion'. A
$2 donation is appreciated.
EE Directories
The new and improved EE Name and Address Directory is
available for $3.00. To purchase one, contact Mary Beth Wallace

after February 3. If you are a new
resident who moved in after the directory was printed, or if there
is an error in your listing you have the option of having your name,
address and phone number published in the Monday Morning Memo on a
one-time basis so people can update their directories with your

Birthday Bash
Cake, ice cream, gifts, games, fun. You'll find all
that and more at the Enhancement Team's Birthday Bash in the Ramada
on Sunday, February 8 at 2:00 p.m. when we'll celebrate everyone's
birthday. Games and gifts for all will keep things lively. Tickets
are $5.00 per person, and everyone is asked to bring an inexpensive
($5 max) gift or a "re-gift." Gifts should be wrapped and marked for
male, female or general. You can purchase a ticket by calling Marian Mundale

Book Discussion Group
The Book Discussion Group will meet Tuesday, February
3, at 11:00 a.m. to discuss Painted Girls. The meeting will be held
in the Ramada unless the weather is bad, in which case a sign will
be posted in the Ramada with the new, warmer location. New members
are always welcome. The book selection for March is The Art Forger
by B.A. Shapiro.
Genealogy Group
The next meeting of the EE Genealogy Group is
Wednesday, February 4, at 10:00 a.m. in the Ramada. All are

Chair Yoga
Chair yoga classes with a certified instructor will
be held at the Ramada on Wednesdays from 1:45 to 2:45. For more

Fiber Arts Workshop
Join EE fiber artists on Thursday, February 12 at
1:00 and learn to make a free form fiber scarf by knitting and
crocheting on fleece. Please bring knitting fibers to use. The
regular fiber arts group will still meet for those not participating

Enhancement Still Looking for a Few Good Things
It's a great time to clean out those closets,
cupboards and sheds. The Enhancement Team is preparing for their
March 7th Ramada Sale fund raiser. If you have household items to
donate or would be able to donate baked goods, call Sandy Oster

Giant Asparagus Alert
(this turned out to be quite a dated story; subsequently
withdrawn)
New to the area and have never seen the incredible
bloom stalk of a Century Plant (Agave Americana) that resembles a
giant asparagus? John and Joyce Leach (221 S. Circulo Napa) invite
you to stop by and see the one in their yard. It is already higher
than the house. Don't wait too long to see it. When it's finished,
it will topple over.

at GVC's Household Hazardous Waste Collection event this past Saturday.
