Monday Morning Memo-------------December 22 Good Morning: About 75 people turned out at Sunset Ramada last Monday to hear a talk on home security by Bill Caniano, of Brinks Home Security. He answered general questions about home protection and advised how his company’s home security services are provided as a safeguard against break-ins. Our Hospitality Committee has released its tentative schedule for the
first 5 months of 2009, as follows: Hamburger Nites will be held the third Tuesday of each month on the following dates, beginning at 4:30: January 20th February 17th March 10th April 21st May 19th Parties will be held as follows: February 14th--Valentine’s Day March 17th--St. Patrick’s Day May 5th--Cinco de Mayo All dates are subject to change. Watch this space for further details, or they will be posted at Sunset Ramada. These dates will also be posted in the December issue of the Periodico, and are on the calendar on the EE Forum at www.esperanzaestatesforum.netIf you lost an earring at Sunset Ramada, it has been found and is in a plastic bag on the bulletin board. There are also a few dishes people brought for the Christmas Party to be picked up there, so if you are missing anything, check there first. Many thanks to Richard Magnuson, who built two net standards for the pickleball players for use at the tennis court. Richard does many nice things for the HOA, and does them regularly. We are always appreciative for his help. Information about the annual meeting of the EEHOA will be mailed soon, so please watch for it. The annual meeting will be held January 19, 2009. If you have not yet paid your HOA dues for 2009, please do so promptly. Our Esperanza Estates neighbor and friend Bill Bos has had recent open heart surgery, and we are hopeful for a good outcome. All thoughts and prayers for Bill are appreciated! Don't forget to sign up for the First Day BBQ and Potluck at the Sunset Ramada on January 1, 2- 4 p.m. Plan to join your friends and neighbors to welcome the New Year! Plates, cutlery and glasses will be provided. Bring something to grill, a dish to share and your favorite beverage. The December Periodico will be out this week, so watch for it. Please remember our Neighborhood Luminaria Lighting at dusk on December 23rd. Residents in the area participating are from corner of Portillio and Circulo Napa east on Circulo Napa (toward the Santa Rita Mts) That will be homes in the 700 block. Follow the curve to the left which will include some homes in the 200 block. We would like to invite all residents to drive or take a stroll through the area.
