the Ramada. A copy of the agenda is included at the end of the memo. All
residents are encouraged to attend.

It's Back!!! Coffee and donuts, and of course, conversation and laughter
will fill the EE Ramada this Wednesday, October 17th. Be there at 8:30
a.m. to get your pick of the pastries.
Halloween Pot Luck
Our Hospitality Committee will hold it's annual Halloween Pot Luck on
Wednesday, October 31, starting at 4:30 at the Ramada. You don't have to
wear a costume to attend, but we enjoy seeing how creative our residents
can be in designing clever attire. Please bring a dish to share. The
Hospitality Committee will provide soda and adult beverages. There will
be door prizes and karaoke with Pat Carmody. See you there, even if we
don't recognize you in costume.
Burger Night Well Attended
Last Wednesday's burger night brought old friends, new neighbors, and
returning seasonal EE residents together for food and conversation. The
much appreciated folks of the Hospitality Committee served their fine
fare to more than 50 attendees.
Talking Trash Is Stopping Service in Green Valley
Talking Trash has announced that it intends to stop providing trash
collection service in Green Valley. It's last pickup date will be
Friday, November 2, at which time they will pick up recycle goods and
the recycle bin they loaned to customers. If you are mid billing cycle,
send an email to
gottagobrenda@hotmail.com or send a request for refund to Talking
Trash, 1520 N. 15th Ave., Tucson, AZ 85705.
Talking Trash has advised us of three other companies that service Green
Valley; they are: Saguaro Environmental (520-382-0052), Waste Management
(602-721-2872), and Titan Waste, Recycle and Trash (520-382-1009).
Cleaning Out?
If you have household items you no longer want, please consider donating
them to the Enhancement Team's annual Ramada Sale. All proceeds from the
sale are used to improve our community. To arrange for the items
to be picked up, you can call Kraylen Miholer (393-8133), Geri Lindberg
(777-4972) or Barb McCalpin (867-8067).
Neighborhood Watch Incident Report
EE Neighborhood Watch Captain Mary Beth Wallace has reported the
following incident. Last week, an EE resident returned home to find a
woman inside the resident's gate peering into the arch window. The woman
claimed she was with the Census Bureau and that the house next door had
been selected at random for a survey. The woman asked the resident for
her name and phone number, which the resident declined to give her. She
left some literature with the resident. Although the woman showed an
identification card when asked, she did not give the resident time to
check it. The resident contacted the SAV Fraud Squad, and they stated
they were not aware of any information about the Census Bureau
conducting a survey. If you are contacted by this woman, Mary Beth
recommends you decline to give her information and then notify Mary Beth
at 399-0299, or HOA Board President Eric Ellingson at 625-7782.
Attention Golfers

867-8067 for information or to sign up for this event.
Want To Learn About Xeriscape Gardening?
GVC is sponsoring a free seminar on Wednesday, October 24 at 1:30 at

discuss the technique of xeriscaping: incorporating plants that are
natural to our climate that require little or no watering. Topics will
include: xeriscape principals, installation and maintenance, and common
landscape hazards and ways to minimize them. Reservations are required.
To attend, call 648-1936 to reserve a seat.
