Amateur Aqua Exercise
Want to start pool exercising, but afraid you can't keep up with our afternoon pros? (Or at least that's the excuse you've been using.) Well, now's you chance to work out with other newbies. Virginia Arendt and Penny Huculak will be in the pool on Thursdays and Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. and invite you to join them.

Sausage Fest Scheduled for February 9
$7 per person includes Italian sausage on a fresh bun with grilled onions, sweet green peppers and sauerkraut, condiments, chips, cookies, beer, wine and soft drinks. You'll be able to order Italian sausage from the Optimist Club Spring Sausage Sale.

Freezing Nights Make Fridge Messes
Beverage cans and bottles left in the poolside refrigerator during winter weather have made a real mess of things.  If your mother is not here to clean up after you, you need to take any unopened cans with you.

Still Taking Names
The EE HOA Board is still gathering the names of good neighbors who would be willing to fill the current board vacancy. The appointee will serve for only two years, but no chance of time off for good behavior.
Contact Tom Cooke at 399-0455 or eetom840@yahoo.com if you're interested.

Ramada Sale is Coming Soon
This year the Enhancement Team's annual Ramada sale will be Saturday, March 4th. EE residents will have exclusive early bird buying on Friday, March 3rd from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. We can always use more donated items.  Items to donate include: all household items, jewelry, accessories, furniture, lawn furniture, garage items, bicycles, computers (working or non-working), printers (must work).  We do not take TV's, clothing, mattresses or box springs. To donate items, call Marian Mundale 625-2238 or Kraylen Miholer 393-8133.

EE Cupids to Deliver Valentine Cheer
From February 1 to February 14th, Valentine gift bags will appear on approximately 70 very special front gates.  Join the fun of delivering a Valentine greeting of your choice to these lovely neighbors.  A simple note,
a paper heart, flowers, chocolate, jewelry, you get the idea. Two weeks of smiles. On Monday, February 13th, plates of donated treats will be assembled and delivered to our very special EE residents. Contact Donna Shay 815-243-3402 with questions, to help out, or if you can suggest a gift bag recipient.

Book Discussion Group
The Book Discussion Group will meet at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, at the Ramada to discuss A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith. This classic was written in 1943, and is still relevant to us today. Join us as we discuss this book many of us read as young adults.  All are welcome.  If you have questions, call Cindy Krantz (203-8292). If the weather is cooler or inclement, the group will meet at her home.

2017 EE Name and Address Directory
Mary Beth Wallace (399-0299 or merrymary7@cox.net) still has a supply of the 2017 EE Directory for $4 each if you want to buy one. Mary Beth would like you to highlight the phone number above for her in your directory. It's her land-line and she'll usually answer it. (The number in the directory is her cell phone and she only uses it to call the land-line when it gets lost between her sofa cushions.) Also note her new email address.

In Memoriam
Marilyn Stanton (Placita Nueva) passed away on January 29. Our condolences to her family and friends.
