Monday Morning Memo-----------------January 12th

Good Morning:

The big news on the horizon is the annual meeting of our HOA, scheduled for next Monday, January 19. Full particulars were mailed to all owners within EE last week. Be sure and try to attend this meeting, which will be number 31 in the history of our subdivision. Please mark and mail your ballot, or bring it to the meeting. The HOA would prefer you mail it as that will permit most of the vote count to be concluded prior to the meeting. If mailed, the deadline for its receipt is January 14. We hope to see you there.

Remember Coffee and Donuts at the Ramada next Wednesday, January 14, at 10:00 a.m. This is a freebee, sponsored by the Board. Come on down and have a cup and a donut--or two, and take your mid-morning break. Enjoy some friendly conversation with your neighbors. The heaters will be available if needed, but that is the time of the morning here when it is warm and pleasant--and a great time to take a few minutes off. Coffee and Donuts at the Ramada will be a regular feature each second Wednesday of the month, so put it on your calendar. The hour may vary from month to month so watch this space for changes.

Also, remember to put Hamburger Nite on your calendar for Tuesday, January 20, beginning at 4:30. This is a continuation of our Hospitality Committee’s always popular monthly event, and offers an excellent cooked to order deluxe hamburger, cheeseburger, or vegi-burger for the low price of only $4.00--including the trimmings. Table service by friendly waitresses, and a fun time with your friends and neighbors. Drinks are available, but bring your own alcohol. Come early to this event, which is always a favorite here in EE. We’ll see you there!

The Board is looking into repair work on the cool decking at the pool, as it is beginning to show some wear. A bid for repairs is being analyzed.

Our new landscapers, Hot Desert Landscape, began work in EE this past Thursday. This firm replaces AAA Landscape Maintenance, who previously held this contract for a number of years but who the Board determined to replace over dissatisfaction with the level of services.

Many thanks to the Men’s Auxiliary of the Enhancement Team for taking down the common area Christmas decorations this past week.

The Bunco group will meet at 2:00 pm today, January 12, at the home of Melodye Cooke, 840 Circulo Napa. The group will then meet the second Monday of each month thereafter. Bunco members remember to bring $5.00. Anyone interested in being on the substitute list, please call Melodye at 399-0455.

Robert Frost has asked that his appreciation be expressed for all of the sympathy and support he received following the recent death of his wife, Phyllis Johnson-Frost. Phyllis was truly a “one of a kind” lady, and will be much missed by all who knew her.

The EE Enhancement Team is actively seeking items for the Annual Patio Sale, which will be held on Sat., March 7th at the Sunset Ramada. Proceeds from the sale fund improvements to our Ramada and common areas. Household items in good condition, including furniture, appliances, housewares, dishes, glassware, linens, decor, toys, books, CDs, etc. are welcome and pick up is available. Please NO clothing or electronics (computer equipment, phones, etc.).

To donate items, please contact: Sandi Oster (625-0039), Barb McCalpin (867-8067), Barb Cottrell (648-3149), or Bev Brow (625-7744)

The Following just received from Mary Beth Wallace, of Neighborhood Watch:  There will be new zone sheets available for Neighborhood Watch Block Captains at the Annual meeting. They can be picked up at the same table where we sell the EEHOA Directories.

Also I would like to have a couple of the Block Captains volunteer to help with this project. Please contact Mary Beth if you can help out, at 399-0299.

Have a good week. See you at the annual meeting.
