EE Board to Meet September 17
The EE Board will hold it's regularly scheduled meeting at the Ramada on Monday, September 17 at 1 PM
All residents are welcome to attend.

Potato Bar
On Saturday, Sept. 29, the Hospitality Committee will hold its popular potato bar featuring a baked potato with all the fixings. Beverages and dessert are also included in the price of $8.00.  Come at 5:00 PM to socialize. Food service begins at 5:30. Please remember the Food Bank and bring a donation if you can.  The Food Bank bin is located in the Ramada kitchen.  Want a name tag to help people remember who you are?  Call Melodye at 520-336-8844 to place your order.

EE Name Tags
With so many residents attending our popular social events and the number of new residents who now live in EE, it's helpful to wear your EE name tag at Ramada events.  Need one?  Call Melodye at 520-336-8844 to place your order. Name tags are $6.00 and replacement magnets are $1.00.

Book Discussion Group Meeting
Linda Sielken will lead the EE Book Discussion Group's first meeting of the season at the Ramada on TuesdaySept. 11, at 1 PM. The All-Girl Filling Station's Last Reunion by Fannie Flagg is the book of the month.  At this meeting, the group will decide which of the selected books to read for each month.  New members are always welcome.

Land Acquisition Is Now Completed
It's official. Our little piece of desert along Esperanza Blvd will remain undeveloped and EE residents will be able to walk through it for the next 199 years. All of the documents have been signed and submitted to the Pima County Recorder's office. The registration will be filed Monday or Tuesday. Thanks to all of the donors as well as the committee members - Donna Dailey, Dean Hess, Dave Sielken, Jim Sourant, Howland Swift and Doug Syme - for their efforts over the past 7 months. After years of having that nagging feeling every time you passed by the property that it might be developed in an unpleasant way, you can now rest easy.

News For Those Who Are Away
Significant flooding in Amado on September 2 resulted in major damage to the Cow Palace restaurant.  It is uncertain when, or if, they will re-open.

Celebration of "AZ19 Region's Most Influential People"
An event to be held Tuesday, Sept. 11 from 6:30-8:30 PM at Desert Diamond Casino will honor the 2018 AZ19 M-I-Ps. Our own Tom Cooke will be among the honorees at the event. Tickets are on sale at the Green Valley Chamber of Commerce office at 275 W Continental Rd, #123.  Click here for more info; call 625-7575 to reserve a ticket for the event.
