Spots Before Your Eyes?
Seeing green spots before your eyes?  Don't rush to your eye doctor's office.  It's Tagger Tom Cooke on weed patrol again.  After last week's heavy rains, the application of a pre-emergent herbicide should keep our common areas from becoming knee-high pastures.

Margaritas Draw Good Neighbors
Forty-some Esperanzans gathered at the Ramada last Friday for margaritas and munchies. A mix of new neighbors and familiar faces made short work of the tasty fare.  Certainly fitting that the celebration followed last Tuesday's rain with reported totals from 2-3 inches in our HOA. Thanks Tom & Melodye Cooke and Del & Kris Bean for hosting the summer get-together.

Arlene Batdorff Weitz 
Former EE resident Arlene Batdorff Weitz, 99, passed away on August 6. At her request, there will be no funeral service. Family members are planning a private celebration of her life in Traverse City, Michigan.
