Scam, Scam, Everywhere a Scam
Latest e-mail scams: An EE resident recently received an official looking e-mail from Chase Bank--logo and all-- requesting information about a bank account. Nope. Your bank won't ever send an e-mail like that. Don't even bother opening it. Delete it, send it to your junk mail file, or report it as a phishing scam.
DHL, UPS, or FedEx sending an e-mail requesting information to deliver an item to you? Nope. Delete that one too.
AARP's latest publication warns of scammers who call promising cancer screening or medical equipment at no cost, if you'll just give your Medicare number and personal information. Bzzzt!!! Buzzer ring on that one too.
DON'T EVEN ANSWER the phone if you don't know who's calling. Any response may put you on the robo dialing list of "likely" victims, resulting in more frequent calls.
