Monday Morning Memo

June 25, 2018        Esperanza Estates        Green Valley, AZ

Neighborhood Watch
"After nearly 10 years of dedicated service, Mary Beth Wallace has decided to step into a well-deserved "retirement" from her position as head of our Neighborhood Watch program. We will of course miss Mary Beth's enthusiastic service, but will not do without qualified leadership of this important volunteer team.
Karen White (520-648-3993) has stepped up to fill this role. Karen brings significant experience to this position, both as an EE Block Captain and as a volunteer with the Pima County Sheriff's Auxiliary Volunteers ('SAV') Program.
Please join the HOA Board in thanking Mary Beth for her service and in welcoming Karen to her new leadership role."
Dave Sielken
President EE HOA Board

Esperanza Boulevard Property
Board president Dave Sielken announced at the June 18th board meeting that we are in a holding pattern on the property acquisition until the Las Campanas board meets on July 13.

Fiber Arts Alfresco Again
Fiber Artists meet at the Ramada again this Thursday at 1 PM. Weather Underground says a 15 mph breeze should make the 100 degree afternoon a bit more comfortable. You don't have to be working on a project to attend, just come for some social time.

Who You Gonna Call?
Receive an annoying call from the Fake "IRS"?  Thanks to the Senate Aging Committee, a nationwide Senior Scam hotline is now open.
Write down the number that shows up on your caller ID and report the scam by calling toll-free at 1-855-303-9470.

Book Discussion Group
The book for the next meeting, to be held September 11th, is The All-Girl Filling Station's Last Reunion by Fannie Flagg. The group meets at the Ramada on the second Tuesday of the month at 1:00 PM. New members are always welcome.

Only One Week Left for Palm Trimming
The EE Board requires palms to be trimmed by June 30th, or the Board will arrange to have it done after that at cost+ to the property owner of $80.00/tree. Homeowners can hire any tree service they choose.  Our agreement with Monstrosity Tree Service (520-320-7131) for $55.00/tree will be honored for everyone in EE.
