Monday Morning Memo

June 17, 2019        Esperanza Estates        Green Valley, AZ

Board Meeting at 1:00 Today
The last EE HOA Board meeting of the summer is at the Ramada today. The agenda is at the bottom of this MMM.

Wednesday Night Movie at 7:00 at the Ramada
This week's film is the quirky, feel-good comedy Waking Ned Devine. Recluse Ned Devine dies of shock when he finds he won the lottery. Since Devine is the only one who can claim the prize, the townsfolk in his small Irish town band together to convince the claim inspector that an impersonator is really Devine, and split the cash. Thanks to Jane and Eric Ellingson for sponsoring this event.

More from ADOT
Motorists on Interstate 19 near Green Valley should expect alternating lane closures starting Monday, June 17.
Crews will install final striping on the roadway between Duval Mine Road and the Canoa Ranch Rest Area between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The work is expected to take about one week. In addition, crews will place striping on Esperanza Boulevard near the I-19 interchange. All interstate ramps will remain open during the work.

Two Weeks Left to Trim Tall Palms
Homeowners may hire any firm they wish to do the work. Monstrosity Tree Service contracts with EE to trim trees on common ground. Homeowners can contact them at (520-230-7131) to schedule trimming on individual properties for $60.00/tree. Trees still untrimmed after June 30 will be trimmed by the HOA with homeowners being billed $80/tree. Questions? Call Dean Hess at 520-780-8995

Motor Vehicle Division Is Moving
The MVD is moving from its current location near the library to 130 Duval Mine Road #150 near Desert Sky Cinema and Ashley Home Store. The move will take place June 26-28.

Reserve a Resort Day for Fido
Shortened early walks, hot paws, and an end to car trips may be stressing your pooch. Treat your canine companion to a dip in the pool by making reservations for GVR's Paws in the Pool IV scheduled for July 19th at the West Center Pool. Prior registration is required.

Joan Moreaux
Joan continues to recuperate at Prestige Assisted Living, 175 Abrego Drive, Room 220. She would appreciate receiving cards or, better yet, visits from her friends and neighbors.

In Memoriam
We are saddened to report that Fred Blum (Calle Excelso) passed away on June 12. Our condolences to his family and friends.
