$$$$$$pecial Board Meeting
The EE HOA Board convenes this Friday, May 26 at 1PM at the Ramada for a discussion of financial recommendations. Proposals presented at the April and May meetings are posted in the HOA Meeting Minutes at esperanzaestates.net
.
Want to contact board members regarding your views and suggestions? Click here for their individual e-mail addresses, or address an email to board@esperanzaestates.net to let all of the board know what your thoughts are. It's all about finance, so don't bother scrolling for the
teeny, tiny agenda.

Wednesday Movie
This week's movie is Lion. Five year old Saroo gets lost on a train which takes him thousands of miles across India, away from home and family. Saroo must learn to survive alone in Calcutta, before ultimately being adopted by an Australian couple. Twenty-five years later, armed with only a handful of memories, his unwavering determination, and a revolutionary technology known as Google Earth, he sets out to find his lost family and finally return to his first home. Showtime is 7:00 p.m. at the Ramada. Thanks to Jane & Eric Ellingson for sponsoring this popular event.

Early Bird Tennis
Tennis start time now is 7 a.m. on Fridays to avoid the heat. This is a fun group and they always welcome new members.

Fiber Arts
It's pretty quiet now in EE and activities have slowed down in GV in general.  If you are in need of some social contact, stop in at the Ramada on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. for the fiber arts group gathering.  If you are working on a project, bring it along.  Otherwise just stop in for some friendly conversation.

Book Exchange
Reading is a popular summertime activity, and the number of books in the book exchange at the Ramada is dwindling.  Now would be a good time to clean out your bookshelves and contribute a few good books for others to enjoy.

SAV Scam Squad Reports...
The latest scam being reported by the Scam Squad involves auto repairs.  Some GV residents have reported receiving an email or phone call indicating that they hadn't paid fully for service on their vehicle. More details of the scam will appear in the GV News, but it's worth remembering to not disclose any personal, banking, or credit card information in response to any incoming email or phone call.  The Scam Squad always suggests to 'just hang up', then contact the business directly to determine whether there is really an issue.

New Cellphone Ordinance
Here's something you may not have heard about.  A new Pima County ordinance banning talking on a cellphone without a hands-free device while driving goes into effect on June 1.
