EE's annual Cinco de Mayo potluck is Thursday, May 5, at 4:30 p.m. at the Ramada.
Wear your colorful attire and join EE's nod to this south of the border
fiesta. Please bring a dish to share. Mexican dishes such as
enchiladas, frijoles, tacos, chili rellenos and flan are
encouraged (but any dish is appreciated.) Margaritas, beer and
wine will be available. Hasta luego, amigos! |

Book Discussion Group
The group will meet on Tuesday May 3 at
11:00 a.m. at the Ramada to discuss Finding Jake by Bryan
Reardon. |

Movie Night
May 4 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramada, "The Grand Seduction," a 2013 Canadian comedy starring Taylor
Kitsch, is the story of a small community in Newfoundland that
charms a doctor into becoming the town's full time physician in
order to secure a vital factory contract. Thanks to the
Ellingsons for bringing us movie night. |

Artisans Still Meeting
While many groups are winding down for the season, the
Artisans plan to continue to meet at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday
afternoons. Bring your project or just come to socialize. |

Tennis Group News
The tennis group is taking a summer hiatus due to a lack of
players (and maybe the heat coming soon, too). But they're
hoping others will join them for friendly Friday tennis next
fall. There will be a notice in the MMM when they start up
again. |

Cleanup Complete
Armed with pruners and rakes, nine hardworking volunteers
cleaned up the arroyo and trail from Holgado to Portillo last Wednesday
morning. Thanks to Jim Copeland, Mary Grgich, Patti Purcell, Gary and Jackie Rautio,
Kathy Stocker, Cynthia Surprise, and Ken and Terry Van Apeldoorn
for their efforts. The Gardeners plan to do more clean up projects in the fall. |
