Movie Night
This week's movie on Wednesday at 7:00 PM at the Ramada is Green Book, the winner of the 2019 Academy Award for best picture. Dr. Don Shirley is a world-class African-American pianist, who is about to embark on a concert tour in the Deep South in 1962. In need of a driver and protection, Shirley recruits Tony Lip, a tough-talking bouncer from an Italian-American neighborhood in the Bronx. Despite their differences, the two men soon develop an unexpected bond while confronting racism and danger in an era of segregation. Tour EE's Parks
Our parks are looking spectacular! On Thursday, April 11, starting at 3:30, the EE Fiber Arts Group will host an informational tour of all the parks, with a docent at each park to point out what has been accomplished by the EE Gardeners. The parks featured are Shade Tree Park (next to the pickleball courts), Esperanza Estates Park (corner of Holgado and Esperanza Blvd), Mountain View Park (southeast corner of Circulo Napa), Wishing Well Park (S. Circulo Napa) and Mesquite Park (Camino Holgado). You can go in any order. Walk, drive or carpool. Conclude the tour at the Hospitality Committee's event at the Ramada.

Burgers and Hot Dogs on the Menu
EE Hospitality Committee is planning to fire up the grill at the Ramada on Thursday, April 11. In addition to burgers and hot dogs, there will be cole slaw, chips, dessert and complimentary beverages. Social hour starts at 4:30 and dinner at 5:00. Cost is $8.00. The event will be a good chance to say good-bye to some of your neighbors who are starting to depart for the season.

Two HOA Positions Filled
The Board has appointed Larry Kempton as our representative to the Green Valley Council and Nancy Moore will take over Neighborhood Relations. Thanks to both of them for volunteering for these important positions.

Book Discussion Group
The group will meet at the Ramada at 1:00 PM on Tuesday to discuss News of the World by Paulette Jiles. Kathy LaVanway will lead the discussion.  New members are always welcome.

Morning Water Aerobics
Here's a sure sign that spring has arrived. The morning Water Aerobics Group is meeting again at 8:30 on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. Everyone welcome.

Volunteers Needed - Please help our HOA
Our HOA has some jobs that are in need of volunteers. We are looking for a volunteer or volunteers to tend the flag at Flag Park. Training will be provided. Basic responsibility will be to replace the flag if it is weathered once or twice a year. Flags are provided for this work. Contact Jim Copeland at 952-250-5399.
Here's a perfect small volunteer job that's ideal for a morning dog walker (but you don't need to be one to volunteer). About every two weeks, our fountain in Sunset Park at the Ramada needs a chlorine tablet to keep the water fresh and clean. The HOA will supply you with the tablets, and all you would need to do is toss it in the fountain. If you are our person, call Tom Cooke at 399-0455 and he'll get you set up.

Green Valley Gardeners' Garden Tour
The GV Gardeners' 39th annual garden tour will take place on Saturday, April 13, from 9:00 to 3:00. Tour 5 delightful gardens in Green Valley and be inspired. Tickets are $12; they can be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce, Nancy Pantz, Desert Bloom, Native Gardens and The Happy Quail until Friday. EE residents can also purchase them by contacting Cynthia Surprise at 857-209-1978 by Thursday if you have exact change or a check.

Happy Hour
Happy Hour at the Ramada will start at 4:00 PM on the following Fridays: April 19, May 3, May 17, May 31. Bring your own beverage, glasses, utensils, and an appetizer to share.
