Monday Morning Memo

GOOD MORNING ESPERANZA ESTATES

Click on Me

Tom has asked me to put out the Monday Morning Memo while he is having a good time in Hawaii. He did interrupt my Nap time but I did take on the job. I pounded the pavement and dug around trying to find out what was going on in EE. This is what I was able to find at this time.

First is an unpleasantry – While keeping my nose to the ground I found cigarette butts at the entrance of the Pool/Ramada. A kind volunteer picked them up for all of us. Please do not through your butts on the ground around the Ramada or in fact someone else’s house. Thank you.

The dinner get together on April 1 was a great success. About 80 of the 96 people that signed up showed up for a very good chicken dinner. An organ donated for the occasion by Fletcher’s organ was played by Bob and Betty Beier, Mary Ann Pereckas, Bud and Alice Brown, Clay Crawford, Marge Crowley, and Mary Beth Wallace. Kudos to the hospitality committee who served the food.

A reminder for the residents that will be leaving for the summer  to make sure that Neighborhood Watch has  a current phone number  for whomever is looking after their house.  This also applies to full time residents that will be going on vacations.   They can call Mary Beth at 399-0299 or their Block Capt.

We are still looking for a volunteer to oversee the pool. It is a chance to fill the board position with kind a person that works for the people. If you are interested let Tom Cooke (399-0455) or Joe McMahon (649-2202) know.

Remember Tuesday the 8th is hamburger night ant the Ramada. Hamburger/cheeseburger are $4.00 drinks go for $1.00. Social time begins at 4:30PM and hamburgers start at 5:00PM

The Esperanza Estates Ladies Golf outing occurred last Monday at Kino Springs.  12 EE neighbors and friends traveled to historic Kino Springs Golf Course and played 18 holes.  No snakes were encountered, the drink cart came around often, and the weather was perfect.  A great time was had by all.

Golf was followed by happy hour at the Arizona Family Restaurant Back Door Lounge.  Anyone who enjoys a drink after golf or before dinner who hasn't tried this establishment should drop in.  It was very good, and they had great prices for happy hour.

We all enjoyed our day of golf and friendship, and plans are in the works to make this a more frequent event.

I will be keeping my nose to the ground for news; however, I do need help so if you have any items for the next Monday Morning Memo let me know.
