Monday Morning Memo

Gardeners News
The talk by the wildflower expert today has been cancelled due to the speaker being ill.  We will reschedule.

Jim Copeland is the new head of the EE Gardeners.
You can contact Jim at jlbrcopeland@aol.com or 952-250-5399 with any questions or suggestions.

Thanks to Patti Purcell, who has volunteered to drive Tillie to water our parks this summer.
Additional volunteers for summer watering are always welcome.  Contact Jim if you can help.

Thanks to Kathy Stocker for donating a white Lady Banks (aka Tombstone) rose to the Gardeners.
It has been planted in the Ramada garden.  We're calling it our Lady Kathy rose.

Door Colors and Shade Sails
Getting ready to paint that front door a stunning plaid or floral or maybe just an eye-catching turquoise or coral?  Check with Kevin Welsh of EE's Architectural Control before lifting that brush.
Adding a Shade Sail to the sunny side of your court yard? Kevin will be happy to help you plan so that the addition stays within the design elements of our neighborhood.

Ramada Kitchen Renovations
Work on the Ramada kitchen is expected to take place the week of April 4th.  Groups can still meet in the pool enclosure area if the construction noise isn't too disruptive.  Group leaders will notify their members if meetings are cancelled or relocated.

Attention Yoga Group
The group will meet on Monday and determine after that whether to hold the class on Wednesday during the Ramada kitchen renovation.

Book Discussion Group
The group will meet on Tuesday, April 5, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ramada to discuss Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng.  New members are always welcome.

Drive-In Movie Returns
Wednesday evening saw dozens of EE residents lined up in golf carts and lawn chairs watching Mission Impossible 5 on the door of Shay's garage. Thanks to the Shays and the Welshes for their efforts.

New Ramada Chairs
Thanks to the Enhancement Team volunteers who painted the new chairs, which had been donated to the Ramada sale.  Our events are so popular we need seating for over 100 people.  The Team also acquired a fourth storage box for all the seat cushions and replaced some of the more "well used" cushions.

Trouble Breathing?
Poor air quality affects many of us.  If you would like to receive email notices of air quality alerts to conditions that may cause you problems, you can receive the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) notices by signing up at their website: https://webcms.pima.gov/cms/one.aspx?portalId=169&pageId=68600 .
In addition, Beth Gorman of the Pima County DEQ posts a daily air quality update on Twitter @PimaDEQ.
