Attention New Residents - Please Note Correction
The EE Bienvenidos Committee will hold its annual reception for new residents on Wednesday, March 27, at 4:00 PM at the Ramada. You should have received your invitation (usually left at your front door) by now. Please RSVP by March 20. (The invitation mistakenly stated the 27th.) If you moved to EE after February 2018, and didn't receive a written invitation (we don't always have a complete list of new residents), but would like to attend the reception, please contact Cynthia Surprise at cjsurprise@verizon.net.  

Coffee and Donuts to Start Your Wednesday
Arrive at the Ramada at 8:30 GVT (Green Valley Time--that's at least 15 minutes before an event starts.) for the best selection of donuts. Thanks to the Surprises and Cookes for making this event possible.

Movie Night
Wednesday at 7:00 PM at the Ramada. The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, starring Maggie Smith, Sandra Bullock and James Garner.  After years of mother-daughter tension, Siddalee receives a scrapbook detailing the wild adventures of the "Ya-Yas," her mother's girlhood friends.  Thanks to Jane & Eric Ellingson for sponsoring this event.

A Taste of Home Potluck
The EE Hospitality Committee is hosting a potluck event on Thursday with social hour beginning at 4:30 pm. Beer, wine, soda and water are complimentary. Bring a family-size portion of a favorite family recipe. Appetizers, main course dishes and desserts are welcome. Dinner begins at 5:00. No charge for this event.

Esperanza Estates Park's Spruce Up
Esperanza Estates Park (corner of Esperanza Blvd and Camino Holgado) has experienced a major upgrading. New walkways now connect the fire pit, tables and horseshoe pit. A new top dressing of gravel has been put down. The tables have been improved and placed on a paver pad. The horseshoe pit has been leveled and improved. Horseshoes are available in the storage box. A spectator bench is available in the shade next to the horseshoe pit. (Did you even know we had a horseshoe pit in EE?) Thanks to rains this winter there are no fire restrictions, so you are welcome to roast some hot dogs or marshmallows. Bring your own wood and put out the fire when you finish. Both water and electricity are available at the park. The best view to the east in EE is from the entrance monument bench. So get out there and enjoy the park. Thanks to everyone who donated to the improvements or worked on the project.

The Case of the Missing MMM
Each Monday morning, we post printed copies of the Monday Morning Memo on the bulletin board and a clipboard on the Ramada counter so anyone without a computer can read it. For the past several weeks, someone has been removing them. We would appreciate it if you would read the memo at the Ramada and leave it there for others. (Bring paper and pencil with you if you need to note dates of events.)  If you do have a computer, you can always access current and past memos from our website, esperanzaestates.net.

Happy Hour Dates
Happy Hour at the Ramada will start at 4:00 PM on the following Fridays: March 22, April 5, April 19, May 3, May 17, May 31. Bring your own beverage, glasses, utensils, and an appetizer to share.

Have an EE organization item that needs to appear in the next MMM?  Please submit your information by Friday evening. You don't need to write the article, just give us the facts. If an urgent, last-minute situation arises after the deadline, please call to let us know you're sending information.
