Annual Ramada Sale Saturday, March 4th
EE residents will have exclusive early-bird buying
on Friday, March 3rd from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. We can always use more donated items, including: all
household items, jewelry, accessories, furniture,
lawn furniture, garage items, bicycles, computers
(working or non-working), printers (must work). We
do not take TV's, clothing, mattresses or box
springs. To donate items, call Marian
Mundale 625-2238, Barb McCalpin
867-8067, or Kraylen Miholer 393-8133. To donate jewelry, please contact Robin
Lockwood at 612-618-5582, or drop them off
at the Lockwood house at 1203 Norte by Thursday,
March 2. To donate bake sale items contact Sandi
Oster 625-0039. We will also hold the bake
sale on Friday from 4:00 to 5:00 at the time of the
early-bird sale. If you wish to donate
that day, you may bring your baked goods on Friday
from 2:00-3:00. On Saturday bring them as early as
6:30.
Help Plant Ocotillo
On Wednesday March 1, the EE
Gardeners will be planting Ocotillos in various
spots in the common areas. Meet at
the Ramada at 9:00 and bring a shovel or rake and
gloves if you have them. The group will also discuss
the plantings at the Ramada garden set for later in
March.
Lamppost Light Out?
If you need a new light bulb for your lamppost, you
can get one free of charge from our HOA by calling
Tom Cooke at 399-0455 or
Joe McCalpin at 867-8067. They will change
it for you if you are unable to do it yourself.
EE Home Tour
Get a peek at your neighbors' lovely homes. On Sunday,
March 26th from 1:00 -- 3:00 p.m. you'll have a
chance to tour some of EE's interesting homes and find
ideas for decorating your own. Decorating styles range
from traditional to modern, so there's something for
everyone's taste. A wine and cheese party at the Ramada
will follow the tour. Tickets are $15 each or two for
$25 and may be purchased at the March 16th Hospitality
event or by calling Melodye Cooke (336-8844), Jane
Ellingson (625-7782) or Louise McCabe (445-6237).
Tickets are limited, so buy one soon.
EE Book Exchange Clean Out
Last opportunity to find a good book at the EE
Book Exchange! If you've been looking for a
"good read" or have donations for the Book
Exchange located at poolside at the Ramada, now
is the time! On March 1st the titles at the Book
Exchange will be "weeded" and become part of the
EE Thrift Sale on March 4th.
Excursion to Tucson Botanical Gardens
The EE Artisans are planning an outing to Tucson's
Botanical Gardens to view the Frida Kahlo exhibit on
Thursday, March 9. The group will
car pool from the Ramada at 2:30, visit the exhibit
and gardens, have a light dinner at the cafe in the
garden, attend the lecture on "Frida: She Wore It
Her Way," and then car pool back to EE at 7:30. The
cost is $10.00 for the lecture (admission to the
gardens is free after 3:00) plus the cost of your
dinner. If interested in going, you must RSVP by
leaving a voicemail for Karen O'Brien at
303-807-8357 by March 1. Seating is
limited, so please reserve early. For more details on

Benefit
On Sunday, March 5, at 6:00 p.m.
the Shays will host a wine and
appetizer fundraiser at their home at 1118 Circulo
del Sur for the benefit of Robin and Dean
Lockwood's family mission in Haiti. All
donations are greatly appreciated. Please contact
Robin at 612-618-5582 for details about the mission.
No Foolin'--Hazardous Waste Event on April 1
Green Valley Council has announced that the spring event
is scheduled for Saturday morning, April 1.
