EE HOA, Green Valley, AZ
Monday Morning Memo

February 15, 2016        Esperanza Estates        Green Valley, AZ

Board Meeting Today
The regular monthly EEHOA Board meeting will be held today at 1:00 p.m. at the Ramada.  The meeting is always informative and a good way to learn what's going on in EE.  Among other agenda items will be a brief presentation of some preliminary ideas on a monument for Esperanza Park.  A copy of the agenda appears at the end of this memo.

Nurse Practitioner to Speak after Board Meeting
Vern Wise has arranged to have Katie Sayre, Community Services Division Chief of the GVFD, speak to EE residents about the nurse practitioner services provided by the GVFD to Green Valley residents.  This will be a good opportunity to learn more about the program.  Ms. Sayre's presentation will take place at the Ramada on Monday at the conclusion of the Board meeting (approximately 2:15).

Coffee, Donuts and More
The monthly free coffee & donuts will take place on Wednesday, February 17th, at 8:30 a.m. at the Ramada. Vern Wise has arranged for Lt. Jeff Palmer of the Pima County Sheriff's office to attend this month's gathering.  It will be an opportunity to talk very informally, one-on-one with the head of the Green Valley Sheriff's office. Thanks to the Cookes and Surprises for sponsoring this monthly event.

Gator Is Tuned Up
Thanks to Bill Pratt for doing the annual tune up on our Gator. Although Bill spends only a couple of months in EE every year, he helps out the HOA in many ways while he is here. We appreciate all he does.

Enhancement's Coffers Growing
The raffle at Italian Night took in $401 for the Enhancement Team.  Thanks to Jim Copeland & Terry Shay for spending many hours crafting the beautiful mesquite pieces which they donated for the raffle. This is one of the many things that makes EE a great neighborhood.

Ramada Sale is Coming Soon
This year our annual Ramada sale will be held on Saturday, March 5th. EE residents will once again have exclusive early bird buying on Friday, March 4th from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. To make the sale a success, we need more donated items.  Items to donate include: all household items, jewelry, accessories, furniture, lawn furniture, garage items, bicycles, computers (even if they don't work) printers (must work). We do not take TV's, clothing, mattresses or box springs. There will also be a bake sale so please consider donating baked goods. To donate items, call Marian Mundale 625-2238 or Kraylen Miholer 393-8133.

Bricks
The commemorative bricks for our recently retired board members Joe McCalpin, Sam Barnard, and Jim Lindberg, have been installed at the Ramada as tokens of appreciation for years of service to our HOA.  We have a special area at the Ramada for commemorative bricks donated by EE residents to memorialize a special person, date, or event on a permanent basis. The cost for a brick is the nominal sum of $50, most of which goes back to the HOA for use in operations and improvements.  If you have someone or something, that you would like to permanently memorialize, this is for you.
Contact Tom Cooke at 399-0455, or send email to 'tecooke1@cox.net'.

Walking Trails Access
We are fortunate to have access to the walking trails on the Freeport-McMoRan property (formerly West Desert Preserve) adjacent to EE.  To help retain the privilege of using the trails, please access the land through the gate at the top of Calle Excelso and avoid using openings in the fence.
